What if one of the deepest lies of modern life is that you don’t really matter?

You may feel insignificant. You may feel replaceable. You may see your weaknesses more clearly than your usefulness.

But if the Spirit of God lives in you, your life carries more weight than you realize.

We live in a world where screens can replace conversations, algorithms can replace relationships, and polished personalities can make ordinary people feel unnecessary.

But the Church was never meant to be a performance we consume. God chose imperfect people—real people—to carry His presence into homes, workplaces, churches, grocery stores, and ordinary conversations.

The question is not simply, “Do I have something to offer?”

The deeper question is: "Am I willing to let God use me?"

I’m grateful for what God has done through our Bible study groups over the years. We’ve learned a lot together—not because we have it all figured out, but because God has been faithful and people have shown up, participated, asked questions, and cared for one another.

I want to share some of what we’ve learned, and I’m sure we’ll learn from others too.

Some of the hardest seasons in life are the ones we never saw coming.

This Sunday we’re looking at a pretty well-known verse: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” and why it’s not as simple as just quoting it and believing it.

There is background to this verse that is life-changing, encouraging, motivating, and assuring us of God’s favor and love in the midst of trials and difficulties.
