Family of Faith church was started in approximately 1993 as a bible study in our pastor Bob McClinton's home. In 1996 it became evident that we would need a larger place to gather, so a search began. We found a lot of land on the highway that needed some cleaning up and old buildings removed. A concrete slab was poured (at 5 am as is standard for the industry), we sat and watched our dream begin a
s the crew worked. After the slab was poured and cured, our building began to go up. Once again, we all gathered, did whatever we could to help, even feeding the hardworking crews and ensuring there were plenty of cold drinks. After the building was raised, the interior work began, all members of the church adding their own labor and sweat to the project from the young even to the elders and pastor, Bob McClinton. We have worked together for many years putting this together, never once going into debt, raising the money we needed through tithes, fundraisers and donations to do the work little by little. Bob went home to be with the Lord last year, we know he is walking on streets of gold and we miss him still. Our remaining elder Rodney Andrews stepped up to the pulpit and his family helped keep us together We continue to work on our building and build our church. Some old faces have come back as well as some new faces. We welcome newcomers as family and are glad to see our family continue to grow. We believe no one should go hungry, cold or without appropriate clothing for the season and do our very best to fill needs as we discover them.
