🎶 Music Celebration Sunday at Asbury – This Sunday! 🎶

Friends, we hope you’ll join us this Sunday for Music Celebration Sunday as we give thanks for the gift of music and celebrate the close of another choir season.

Our worship service will feature all choirs and several instrumentalists, making for a joyful and uplifting morning filled with music, hope, and praise. Be sure to arrive early (around 9:50–9:52 AM) to enjoy a special handbell prelude by the Asbury Ringers.

The prelude, Meditations on the Theme of Peace by Derek K. Hakes, offers a beautiful reflection on peace in a world that deeply longs for it. Incorporating a musical motif that spells “peace” and the ancient prayer Dona nobis pacem (“Grant us peace”), it sets a meaningful tone for worship.

Join us for worship this Sunday, May 17 as we observe Mental Health Awareness Sunday. We are honored to welcome Marsha McInnis, President of NAMI Tri-Valley, as our guest preacher.

NAMI Tri-Valley is a grassroots organization serving Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin, dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by mental illness through support, education, advocacy, and resources.

This meaningful service will offer hope, compassion, and encouragement as we seek to be a community of understanding and care.

New Date for UWF Sew-In

Join us next Thursday, April 23, from 1:00–3:00 pm in Rooms 11 and 12 for our quilting ministry gathering. We need YOU to help sew, cut, or press fabric—no experience necessary! If you’re interested in learning, we’re happy to teach.

The quilts we create are shared through Volunteers in Mission (VIM) and given to those in need during service projects. It’s a meaningful and creative way to serve others together.
