It is with deep sorrow and profound sadness that we announce the earthly transition of Mr. Reginald Cason, a beloved and cherished resident of Live Oak, Florida. He peacefully transitioned from labor to eternal rest on September 30, 2026.

“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” – 2 Corinthians 5:8

Mr. Cason’s life was a powerful testament to legacy and commitment which was an enduring example of strength, love, and dedication that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

May his memory be a source of comfort and peace to his family, and may they find solace in the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.

🎓 ATTENTION, HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS! THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! 🎓

We have officially entered the second nine weeks of your senior year! I know it may feel like time is moving slowly right now, but trust me , once Christmas break is over, things will begin to move quickly as you approach graduation! 🎓✨

📚 Here are a few things you should be working on:

✅ Graduation Check-In: Schedule a meeting with your guidance counselor to review your graduation plan, verify your current credit status, confirm that you are on track to meet all graduation requirements, and discuss any outstanding credits or requirements you still need to complete.

✅ FAFSA: The 2027–2028 FAFSA application is now available! If you plan to attend college or a technical school, make sure you complete your application.

✅ Scholarships: Many scholarship opportunities are available through your school's guidance counselor and on your school's website.

✅ College Applications: Some colleges are already accepting applications and hosting information sessions for Fall 2027.

✅ Career Planning: If college isn't your immediate plan after graduation, that's perfectly okay! Let's work together to create a professional resume, explore employment opportunities, and connect you with people who can help you determine your next steps.

You don't have to have everything figured out, but you should start making a plan! Your future is full of possibilities, and sometimes all you need is a little guidance, encouragement, and someone willing to help you get started.

We will be available at Douglas M. Udell Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 01, 2026, to assist graduating seniors with college planning, scholarship searches, resumes, career exploration, and questions about what comes next.
