Lancaster Evangelical Free Church (LEFC) is a community of people who are united around a common belief: that Jesus died for our sins according to the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the scriptures, and that he rose again. Jesus, the son of God, offers everyone the free gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life in His presence.

Joshua was commanded to be strong and courageous as he led the Israelites into a new land. What can we learn from his commission? On Sunday, Pastor Tom unpacked this command by defining prosperity and success, identifying common fears and showing us how to defeat them, and finally, giving us tools to drive out discouragement. When Joshua stepped into leadership after Moses' death, he was commissioned by God to be strong and courageous as he led the Israelites into the Promised Land. On Sunday, Pastor Tony walked us through the life of Joseph, who faced years of hardship after being sold into slavery, falsely accused, imprisoned, and seemingly forgotten. But God was with him the whole time and had a purpose for this long and difficult season.

Join us this Sunday at 9AM and 10:50AM for our Family Worship Services! Classes will be closed for children, youth, and adults as we gather in the main auditorium to worship together. We look forward to opening the Word to the story of Joseph and learning what it looks like to walk with God through difficult seasons.

As a reminder, the nurseries through 2s classes will be open for our littlest attenders. And we'll have Big Church Bags available to children attending the services. We can't wait to see you!

In your walk with God, the enemy will attack. It may happen when you feel weary and tired. It may happen when your faith feels new and fragile. Or it may happen when you feel called and on mission for God. But regardless of when it happens, we need to fight with prayer and truth. It's not all about you. When God calls us, it's not because of our abilities, status, or skills. It's about who God is and what He can do! As believers living post-Pentecost, we have several advantages over Moses and the Israelites when it comes to our relationship with God. The Israelites needed the Tent of Meeting to be in God’s presence—but now, WE ARE THE TENT and His Spirit lives in us! Moses’ face was transformed temporarily when he was in God’s presence—but now, the radiance of His work in our lives TRANSFORMS US DAILY to become more and more like Jesus!
