# # # Today's Charge (Kingdom Vision)

**The world's vision is shrouded in great darkness because it is based on religion rather than relationship.**

**Matthew 6:22-23 (ESV)**
"The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!"

Christ exposes religion not to destroy anyone but to lead them to the fullness of the Kingdom of God through relationship.

**Understanding the Light**
When we speak of light, we refer to insight, vision, and knowledge. The world's religion ties our knowledge and insight, shaping our vision of God. Without a relationship, this leads to a distorted vision of the world. Knowledge can be harmful if it exists apart from relationship. God has called us to love our neighbor as ourselves, not to create cultural or racial divisions. The world's religion may initially seem like light, but it ultimately draws us into darkness regarding our relationship with God.

**A Call to Action**
Today, seek to be more involved in meeting the needs of your neighbor. Watch for opportunities to be a blessing. This is the essence of the Kingdom of God—it builds us through understanding and nurturing relationships.

**Motion Sickness: Don’t Let Motion Control Your Emotions**

In a society where there’s so much movement, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos. With the changing government, the holiday season, and the new year approaching, many anxieties can try to overwhelm our emotions.

Take some time today to reflect. There’s a scripture in Isaiah that speaks about keeping our minds focused on Him, and He will keep us in perfect peace. Motion sickness is defined as experiencing nausea from movement. I believe that in this season, there’s a kind of "nausea of movement" that can cause us to lose sight of our purpose or feel the inclination to abandon it.

We must derail any feelings of motion sickness and press into the energy of God, embracing all that He has for us on Earth. Be encouraged today, and let God's will and His word grant you the peace that surpasses all understanding.
