Heartlands Youth Ministry Helping youth know Jesus and make him known! Much of our life is spent looking for purpose, something that will give our lives meaning.

And in the world we live in, there’s a lot of different ways we can try and find that purpose and meaning. In Heartlands Youth Ministry we believe that huge purpose and meaning that lasts is found in following Jesus with our lives! In HYM we want to help ordinary people become extraordinary followers of Jesus...and in the process be a part of this journey:

Our 2nd HYM retreat went so well. I'm always amazed how awesome God is and how he works through the youth of this generation. We looked at Romans 12: 1-2 and asked ourselves what our pattern is in the world and how we break it to become who God made us be. There were tears and there was even more laughter. We spent a lot of time in self reflection and ended with some encouragement around the fireplace.

I want to give a special thanks the Rod and Trish Goben for hosting, cooking, and letting us use the boat at this beautiful area in South Dakota. You two are truly the best.

Shout out to Southwest church for hosting a Lazer tag battle royal. We had a ton of fun fellowshipping and surviving the evening. Though there were some questionable wins we all had a good time together. Don't worry if you didn't get a chance to mingle with these folks we will have another opportunity in the fall to be together. Till then keep your eyes sharp for our next duel!

Make sure to ask our students who went to SoulQuest about their experience. This was my first time at SoulQuest, and I am still exhausted from the week. It was a week full of worship, serving, learning, and meeting new friends. I got the opportunity to teach this year, and it was awesome to see the students learn and live with Christ in their lives. It is wrapped up now, but we will see you next year, SoulQuest.

Summer is right around the corner, and as we look forward to summer events, I want to share what we have planned for the Retreat. We will be looking at Romans 12, specifically verse 2. How do we not conform to the world, and how do we achieve a renewed mind? Attached is a link to a Google Form so I can see which dates work for our students and how many to account for. We have been blessed with the potential to have our camp and food paid for, so we would only need to raise funds for a car rental.
