Heartlands Youth Ministry

Helping youth know Jesus and make him known! Much of our life is spent looking for purpose, something that will give our lives meaning.

And in the world we live in, there’s a lot of different ways we can try and find that purpose and meaning. In Heartlands Youth Ministry we believe that huge purpose and meaning that lasts is found in following Jesus with our lives! In HYM we want to help ordinary people become extraordinary followers of Jesus...and in the process be a part of this journey:

Another school year is under raps. As our students prepare to end the school year I want to shout out this year's new and old members. What a pleasure it was to work and get to know all of your hearts. We will have summer activities so we aren't done yet but what a delightful year of growth.

Rent-a-Student is officially starting today. If you want to help these teens earn some money for summer activities now is your chance to get some great help. Baby sitter? Gardener? Lamp post repairman? We got you covered.

Summer is right around the corner, and as we look forward to summer events, I want to share what we have planned for the Retreat. We will be looking at Romans 12, specifically verse 2. How do we not conform to the world, and how do we achieve a renewed mind? Attached is a link to a Google Form so I can see which dates work for our students and how many to account for. We have been blessed with the potential to have our camp and food paid for, so we would only need to raise funds for a car rental. Spring break 2026 has officially come to an end. Made some amazing memories helping out at Christian Heritage and constructing a pantry for the Coppingers. Grateful for the beautiful day despite the surprise snowfall.

Day of Love was great! We had the opportunity to join in and help Lincoln through various non-profits. Heartlands Students served at Prison Fellowship, Hope Community Church outreach, Trinity Lutheran Diaper Ministry, and Transformations thrift store. Can't wait to see how we serve next year.

Super Bowl Sunday!!!! Thanks to the Humphreys for hosting! The Patriots lost but we had a good time chatting, gaming and eating. Hope to see y'all on Wednesday for D teams! Shout out to for pouring out our drinks for the evening.

Recap on Sunday's event! Thanks Pickerings and Humphreys for bringing us brunch for dinner! We recapped the year and then drew some stories out and shared them in front of the group. A night of new faces and lots of laughter. See ya tomorrow for D teams!

Day 3 & 4: What a weekend to share with these youth. This year's theme of what's your story impacted each one of these students. We found out how Christ is still writing our stories and how He makes his stories great still. Lots of magic, drawing, acting, seeing the Spirit work and laughs again. Hope to see ya next year Y.I.A.
