God Answers
During my time as a single mother I went through many trials and sufferings. There were days that the cupboards were bare, I didn’t have gas for my car and wondering if I was going to be homeless. I was in desperate need of help. I knew of Jesus, but I really didn’t know Him. I didn’t know how to pray, I just started talking to Him as though He was sitting across my kitchen table. I cried to the point that I had no more tears. I emptied myself out of all the yuck in my life and asked Jesus for His help. I submitted to the Lord, and gave all my trials and sufferings to Him. Now I had to learn to trust and have faith in Jesus.
It was winter and I needed money for my medication. I prayed asking Jesus to provide.Then I thanked Him and praised Him without seeing my prayer answered. The next day I took my dog out for a short walk, there was snow on the ground and it was freezing. Along the way I was talking to Jesus and again I thanked Him for taking care of me. As we turned the corner, laying on top of the snow there was a $20 dollar bill. It wasn’t wrinkled, it was flat, crisp and new. I knew that was my blessing from the Lord. I danced praising Jesus all the way back to the apartment. I know my dog thought I was crazy, but I didn’t care.
Jesus loves and cares about us. He is the one you can trust. Stay focused on Him and His great love. Jesus turned my life around and I know He can do the same for you.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
