For some time now, many of you have expressed a desire to raise your voices together in song, and we are excited to announce that the opportunity has arrived!

We are teaming up with our brothers and sisters from Westmont Presbyterian Church, under the leadership of Mr. Jim Hutchinson, to present a Christian and patriotic cantata for our community on Friday, July 17, 2026. The program, titled "A Call to Freedom and Liberty," will feature "The Four Freedoms" by Joseph Martin—a powerful and moving choral work that intertwines themes of faith, gratitude, and the sacred gift of freedom.

This is an invitation to serve. If you love to sing or make a joyful noise, we welcome you to join us in this cantata as we offer a special gift to the Ligonier community in celebration of America's 250th anniversary. This event is not about perfection; it’s about participation and using the gift of music as an act of worship and witness.

Here’s what we ask of you:

• Pray about whether this is something God is calling you to do.
• Respond to let us know of your interest so we can coordinate rehearsal details. You can sign up on the church bulletin board or call us at the office BEFORE JUNE 15th.
• Come prepared to offer your voice in service to your Lord, your church family, and your community.

Rehearsals will be led by Jim Hutchinson, and more details will follow once we hear from you. Together, we believe this will be a meaningful and memorable evening for all who attend.

May we sing together to the glory of God and in honor of the freedoms He has entrusted to us.

This Sunday is Trinity Sunday — and we're diving into one of the biggest questions in the Christian faith:

How can we say there is ONE God... and also say Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?

It's a question most of us have quietly wondered about. This week, we're not looking away from it.

Join us this weekend as we open Matthew 28 together and discover that the Trinity isn't just a doctrine to understand — it's a reality to live inside of.

The National Jubilee of Prayer 2026, titled "Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving," will be held on May 17, 2026, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to unite Americans in prayer and thanksgiving for the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The National Jubilee of Prayer 2026 is a faith-centered national gathering designed to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The event invites Americans from across the country to come together to pray, give thanks, and rededicate the United States as “one nation under God” on May 17, 2026, at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

The event draws on a long tradition of national prayer in American history, including proclamations by the Continental Congress during the Revolutionary War.

Since most of us are unable to join the gathering on the National Mall, you're invited to join us at Heritage Church this weekend, as we invite the Ligonier community to offer our part in praying for our nation.

Studies from the Barna Group reveal that somewhere between 64 and 70 percent of young people who grew up in church will walk away from their faith by their college years. Sixty to seventy percent. Think about the kids in your family and church right now. Statistically, most of them will not be in church at twenty-five unless something changes.

Many kids grow up in Christian homes and know the behaviors of Christianity without ever really grasping the gospel. They know not to cuss and to be kind and to go to church, but they have never personally encountered the living Christ.

Faith is caught as much as it is taught. When your children see you on your knees, when they hear you talk about what God said to you in your quiet time, when they watch you choose integrity when the dishonest path would have been easier — they are being discipled by your life.

This Sunday is Mother's Day, and we will discover what the Bible says about raising kids who follow Jesus. Together, we will see how God's plan for parents, the local church, and the entire Christian community play a foundational role in creating the environment to help kids follow Jesus now and into adulthood.

We invite you and your family to join us.

"The resurrection doesn’t end with you; it is shared with others through you." (Dr. Ron Geisler)

Have you remembered to pray for the person you identified during worship yesterday? After you’ve prayed, reach out to connect with them. Let them know you prayed for them, and see where a conversation about Jesus leads.

How to approach Church services differently this Easter:

1. Prepare your heart before you arrive.

2. Read the crucifixion & resurrection accounts beforehand.

3. Invite someone to come w/ you that needs the truth of the resurrection.

4. Worship in the car on the way.

5. Sing like the resurrection is true & matters.

6. Take notes because God is speaking through His Word.

7. Live like the Resurrection is still true on Monday.
