“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬

He is Alpha and Omega and the guide through the corn maze! 🌾✨ We had an incredible time of fellowship, laughter, and getting a little lost together at the Alpha & Omega Corn Maze for our church outing. Thankful for beautiful weather, sweet community, and a reminder that God always knows the way out! Swipe through to see some highlights from our day! 🚜🍂💛

No matter how hard we try to cover it up, sin always finds a way out. We all share the same diagnosis, but thank God we don't have to live without a cure.

“And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We asked some of our youth (and young adults) what they think our Pastor couldn’t live without… here’s what they said! What would you add?

"The High Cost of Shortcuts"

In our day to day lives we have learned how to do things the quickest and easiest way. We have apps that show us how to get places faster than taking a route we are used to going, machinery that help us complete tasks in the blink of an eye, and appliances in our homes that allow us to "set it and forget it".

Not all shortcuts are bad things, but we find that trying to do the things of the Lord the "fast way", we mess up more things than if we would just do what God calls us to do properly. The Lord told Jeroboam plain and simply to follow Him. He decided that putting golden calves in Bethel and Dan, building temples outside of Jerusalem, appointing non-Levitical priests, and creating his own religious feast was the way he wanted Israel to go.

Because Jeroboam decided to take a shortcut and not follow the ways of God, he brought sin into the lives of his entire nation. You may want to do something the quick and easy way in your Christian walk, but what will you bring into your home when you do?

📖 Just like Abram built altars to the Lord in Genesis 12:7-8, we are called to build ours today. The altar is where we surrender our own plans, sacrifice what we’re holding onto, and exchange it all for the blessings of God. We can't catch His best if our hands are full of our own things. 🤍
