This Sunday morning at Pilgrim Reformed Church, we were reminded by the Apostle Paul that we must still suffer hardships and trials while we walked this earth. Jesus warned us first, that bodies and hearts would still break, even though we now follow Him. This is just part of being human. But even through the hardship and pain, we must be patient and remain steadfast in our faith, confident in the promises Jesus and God made.

When our equipment, the underlying technology, and our good volunteers' skill allow, we continue to stream our services to our YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com//streams for our older services and https://www.youtube.com//streams for later services), which saves a copy for later viewing. We still occasionally encounter problems with streaming, but we're working on it. This Sunday morning at Pilgrim Reformed Church, we were blessed to listen in as Jesus prayed to His Father God. He prayed for us, that we might be one in Him and in the Father, just as Jesus and God are One. He prayed that we might have His joy in our hearts. The Apostle Paul tells us that we are the body of Christ left on earth. Although we are many different parts, having different functions, we must all work together as one to be one body. And we must agree with one another to be able to work together. Let us put aside our differences, our distrust, our pride, and work together as one in the Lord.

This Sunday morning at Pilgrim Reformed Church, we sat at the feet of the Apostle Paul and listened as he told us about the greatest treasure of all: the infinite value of knowing Jesus. The Apostle John says that to truly know Jesus is to follow Him, to obey His commands, and to live as He lived. Let us show the love of our Lord as we go out into the world sharing the Good News of salvation through Christ Jesus and leading more to follow Him.

This Sunday morning at Pilgrim Reformed Church, Jesus gave us a great example of a person who forgave a great debt, and of a person who refused to forgive a paltry debt. Our Lord also warned us of the consequences, the risks we face if we refuse to forgive others during our walk on this earth. Let us seek forgiveness for harms we've caused. And let us forgive harms done to us. In this way, we please our heavenly Father.

This Sunday morning at Pilgrim Reformed Church, we listened as the Apostle Paul instructed us on how to fulfill all of God's Law by obeying one simple rule: to love our neighbor as we love ourself. Jesus noted that this is one of the two greatest commandments, second only to loving God. This is how we should live - showing love and sharing the Gospel everywhere we go.

This Sunday morning at Pilgrim Reformed Church, we celebrated Homecoming - that wonderful time when we get to see folks we miss and kids who went off and started families of their own. But even as we speak of coming home to Pilgrim, our name bears witness to the fact that this is not our true home. We are simply pilgrims, walking through this world, waiting to return to our true, permanent home in heaven, to live there forever with our Father God and His Son Jesus. The Apostle Paul reminds us of our citizenship, and Jesus confirms this world is not our home.

This Sunday morning at Pilgrim Reformed Church, the Apostle Paul told us how we can show our love, how we can truly love and not pretend, how to act in a loving manner, not a vindictive one. God made sure that our bible is filled with instructions on the importance of love. Loving is what He wants of us - to love Him, and to love others as we love ourselves.
