Psa 62:2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. Psa 62:6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

These two verses are almost identical. So close you may not have noticed the difference. In verse two, David says, “I shall not be GREATLY moved, and in verse six he says, “I shall not be moved.” So, in a very short space of time David went from “I will not be moved very much, maybe a little but not a lot” to “I shall not be moved at all.” I’m going to stand right here and with my dying breath ask for “the old paths wherein is the good way.”

There’s another great truth in both of these verses: David says, “He only is my rock and my salvation, he is my defence.” There is not another hope. There is not another rock that we can anchor our souls to. There is not another savior. There is not another defender that can come to our rescue. He (Jehovah God, who became Jesus Christ) He ONLY is MY rock, MY salvation, MY defender.

Trouble comes to every life. Have you ever wondered what God is doing when we are going through some great trial, some terrible hardship? Have you ever wondered where is God when I need Him? Sometimes it seems life just falls apart. We’re hit with a debilitating disease, we’re bankrupt, my family just disowned me, my sins have been exposed. Nobody loves me. Nobody cares if I live or die. Where is God now, and what is He doing? When we are down for the count, Jesus steps into the ring and takes over.

He is our defence! Exo 14:14 says, “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” His job is to fight. Our job is to pray, trust and wait. Exo_14:13 “…….Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day:…..”

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” - Matthew 6:21

Sometimes the most powerful things in life are the simplest things. It is to our lives a great benefit to know where we’re going and to know where our source of strength is. If we are going to be successful in our Christian walk with God, we must keep our lives free of clutter, which could be identified as busyness, hurriedness, and sheer happenstance.

Jesus was busy. Paul was busy. Peter was busy. Nothing of significance is achieved without effort and hard work and weariness. Being busy, in and of itself, is not a sin. But being busy in an endless pursuit of things that leave us empty and hollow and broken inside, that cannot be pleasing to God.

Who among us has not been caught up in the pursuit of things that cannot satisfy? Carnal desires, possessions, pride; these are all dead things, and there is no life in them, it only makes us more weary. Seeking FIRST the kingdom of God is the way we achieve things that bring us joy and peace, because Jesus said when we do, HE will add the other things into our lives

“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings.” — Malachi 4:2

There are seasons when life can feel dark, when our prayers seem unanswered, our circumstances are difficult, and hope feels distant. Yet Malachi reminds us that darkness does not have the final word.

The “Sun of righteousness” points us to God’s faithfulness and, ultimately, to Jesus Christ. Just as the rising sun brings light and warmth to a new day, God brings hope, restoration, and healing to those who trust in Him.

Notice the promise: “shall arise.” The night may be long, but morning is coming. God has not forgotten you. His presence can bring healing to wounded hearts, strength to weary souls, and renewed hope to those who feel discouraged.

Don’t allow your present circumstances to convince you that God is absent. Keep trusting Him. Keep praying. Keep walking in His light. The same God who promises the sunrise is faithful to fulfill His word.

When life feels dark, may we remember that God is our light and our hope. Let His presence bring healing to every wounded place in our hearts. God will give us strength to trust Him while we wait for the morning. Walk confidently in the light of the rising Sun of Righteousness.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” -Psa_51:10

This world is a dry, dusty place. It is a place without refreshment, a place where the souls of men crave something they know nothing of.

We are thirsty. We are not thirsty for the things of this world that cannot satisfy, fame, possessions, passion, or romance. We've drunk from those pools. They are salt water in the desert. Those things don't quench, they kill.

Jesus taught the dry, thirsty people in the desert, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…" and He declared, “For they will be filled!”

Righteousness, to be right with God. That's it. That's what we are thirsty for. We're thirsty for a clean conscience. We crave a clean slate. We yearn for a fresh start. We pray for a hand that will enter the dark cavern of our lives and do for us the one thing we can't do for ourselves—make us right in the presence of God..

“Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” -John 20:29

It is a strong snare to be caught up in the things we see, and it is absolutely necessary for God to keep us in the things we cannot see. If Peter is to walk on the water he must walk. If the bird is going to fly it must keep away from fences and the trees, and the ground, and trust its wings. If it tries to keep within easy reach of the ground, it will be very difficult to fly.

God had to bring Abraham to the end of his own strength, and to let him see that in his own body he could do nothing. He had to consider his own body as good as dead, and then take God for the miracle, and when he looked away from himself, and trusted God alone, then he became fully persuaded that what God had promised, He was able to perform. That is what God is teaching us today.

I do not ask that He must prove His Word is true to me,

And that before I can believe He first must let me see.

It is enough for me to know it’s true because He says it’s so;
