Yesterday, I lost a friend—a doctor—to Drugs.
Addiction does not care whether you binge occasionally or use every day. It does not care whether you are poor or wealthy, successful or homeless. Addiction is an equal-opportunity destroyer. It will devour your life and leave your family and friends mourning your death.
If you are still struggling, please know this: You are not alone. There is a God who can and will restore you. The question is, will you let Him?
Freedom begins with humility—with coming to the end of yourself and admitting that you cannot do this alone. If you continue down this road, you may not wake up one day, or you may survive only to carry years of regret and sorrow.
Please stop playing with fire. Ask yourself why you need drugs to escape your life, and be willing to face the pain beneath the addiction. Reach out for help. Let someone walk beside you. Most importantly, turn to the God who can bring healing, freedom, and restoration.
Your life is worth fighting for.
