🍂This fall, women are invited to spend 9 weeks studying 1-3 John guided by a study called "Knowing and Believing God's Love" by Phylicia Masonheimer.

Baptism is a picture of two things: Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and one's death to sin and new life in Christ.
At our annual cookout, we got to witness this profession of new life and celebrate as a community.

Keep reading for a quote from Laya’s testimony of faith!

“In my first week of college, I was invited to attend Free City by my friend Eden, who is baptizing me today. However, I felt constantly torn between the ways of this world and God's desires for me in my life. I constantly used my own judgment, rooted in pride, to justify my sins. I did this by using the sins of others to rationalize my own.

“Through the community I found here at Free City and the Holy Spirit working in my life, I decided that I wanted to give God His full authority over my life. I realized the need for a Savior, Jesus Christ, who came into this world to take on our sin and allow us to have a relationship with our Heavenly Father.

…”Since I have accepted God's will in my life, I have been able to take on a new identity as a daughter of God.”

SUPER SUMMER RECAP 🎉

➕ Last week, Free City Youth took 32 students to camp to join over 400 students from Kansas and Nebraska.

Our church family had an opportunity to fellowship, play, and celebrate the profession of faith through baptism! 💦

HONDURAS MISSIONS TRIP

🌎 This year we sent a team of 14 men and women to go to Honduras to represent us with their hands and feet. Not only that, but we got to see the direct impact or $18,500 raised last fall for a girls home.

“This year was incredibly surreal to me, as we were able to truly see how our small acts of generosity have made a difference in children's lives in Honduras, opening up new opportunities for children in vulnerable situations to be rescued and cared for.”
