π² This Week in Faith Forest: Jesus Took My Place β€οΈ
This week, our Faith Forest kids learned what it means when we say βJesus took my place.β
We had a little fun teaching it with a skit about a blood drive. One friend was scared and didnβt want to do it, so his friend stepped up and offered to take his place.
Why?
Because he loved him.
That gave us a simple picture to help our kids understand something much bigger.
We all sin. We all fall short. And there was a price for that sin that we could never pay on our own.
But Jesus loves us so much that He stepped in and took our place.
He didn't do it because we earned it. He didn't do it because we deserved it.
He did it because He loves us.
βBut God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.β β Romans 5:8
That's the Good News we want these kids to know, understand, and carry with them:
β€οΈ Jesus loves me.
βοΈ Jesus died for me.
π Jesus took my place.
Sometimes a silly little skit can help teach a truth that lasts a lifetime.
We had another great week in Faith Forest! π²
