What a JOY-filled Sunday! 💙

Today we celebrated the baptisms of seven incredible young people as they publicly professed their faith in Jesus Christ!

Five of these sweet faces are currently part of our Children’s Ministry, and two are now in Diverge Student Ministries — but all seven have grown up within the walls of our Children’s Ministry. What a gift it is to watch seeds of faith that have been planted, prayed over, taught, and nurtured through the years come to life in such a beautiful way.

There is truly no greater joy than watching our children choose to follow Jesus! ❤️

Shout out to our incredible Summer Youth Interns, Carson England and Owen Pridgen! ☀️🙌

Today marks their last day with us, and we simply want to say thank you.

From summer camps and VBS to children’s ministry, Diverge Student Ministries events, and countless behind-the-scenes tasks, these two have served First Baptist Laurens well this summer! Whether they were leading games, leading in worship, setting up, cleaning up, prepping for three amazing weeks of camp, or jumping in wherever they were needed, they did it all with excellence.

Carson and Owen, thank you for investing your time, your energy, and your gifts into the lives of our children and students this summer. Your service has made a difference, and we are so grateful for the way you represented Christ in all you did.

We are praying for each of you as you head back to school and wish you a fantastic year! Thank you for making this a summer to remember! ❤️

Our 1st graders received their new Bible in church on Sunday morning! We are wishing these precious kiddos and ALL of our children and youth a happy first day of school tomorrow!
