Joshua 24:14-15
Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Whom are you serving? God in spirit in truth or the devil?

Psalms 51:12
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

We go through many obstacles and emotions. Sometimes they can overwhelm us and we fill all alone. We pray and pray and ask God to lift us up and get us out of that state. He will, but we must keep pressing forward and trusting in Him and never doubt. The Lord can and will restore our joy and give us peace inside.
