In Christ, your past no longer defines you. Your mistakes don't have the final word. Your identity isn't found in your failures, your wounds, or who you used to be.

A note today, from Vicki Shearin:

6 years ago David delivered this prophetic word: “| Will Restore!” Who knew it was a word from the Lord for us! A few days later I was in a near-fatal car accident that left me paralyzed with a Traumatic Brain Injury. This week, 6 years later, we’re back at Rhema Campmeeting and God has restored so well, if I didn’t testify, people wouldn’t know what we’ve been through! Today, I got the manuscript of my new book back from the editor, “Endurance Inspired by Hope: A Modern Look at the Ancient Book of Job” (Foreword by Kenneth W. Hagin). The editor sent me this encouraging note: “Yours is a remarkable story of struggle and endurance, and you really showed how you got through in a very relatable way. Using the Book of Job worked very well, especially for those who are undergoing their own recovery struggles and may be prone to wonder, ‘Why me?’ Job is very topical for that. While you certainly used a lot of Bible references (understandably), it didn’t feel like it was unapproachable for those not familiar with the Bible.” (The book is expected to be published and launched this Fall.) I’m so very thankful to God!
