Will You Refuse The Gift God Offers You?
Numbers 13:27-33
And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

What an amazing gift God is giving Israel right? But they disobeyed and did not go in and received the gift. Canaan land was God's gift to Israel, no one else.

Brethren we need to understand that God's blessings are always God's response to our obedience. When Israel refused to go into Canaan land, Canaan did not disappear from before them, no, but since they disobeyed in going in to receive the gift, they had to stare at it from a distance for 40 years, and then after 40 years they finally decided to obey God and go in. Even after those long 40 years wandering in the wilderness God's gift to them was still available for them but only on His terms.

Brethren, how often do you refuse to go into God's blessings because it might look a bit difficult? How often do you turn away and go the opposite direction when God has put the blessing right in front of you? Is it because you see the battle instead of the blessing? Is it because of the giants?
We cannot negotiate with God for His blessings. The only way we can receive God's blessings is to surrender ourselves completely to Him, in an unqualified obedience. But too often we look at the situation that is in front of us and we only see the giants, and because of that we turn away because we know we cannot handle that situation.
I find it quite interesting that God puts before us situations that we cannot handle, that is, in our own strength, so that we can experience His grace and power.

We all have as much of God and His blessings as we want to have. I am today what I am because of my response to God.
If I surrender to God - I turn it all over to Him, if I try to make it on my own - I put all that responsibility on myself.

Do you see, in order to receive the gifts, there must be some level of sacrifice made. The sacrifice is not earning the gift; the sacrifice is the pathway to the gift that He puts before us. Believe me, the gift is worth whatever sacrifice that needs to be made. The greater the obedience, the greater the sacrifice. The greater the sacrifice, the greater the gift God has for us.
I wonder, how much of God’s gift - how big of a gift - how precious of a gift do you really want?

Will you accept the gift God is holding out to you, even now, or will you refuse it because of the giants? Do the giants appear bigger than you're God?

Will you refuse the gift God offers you?

Who Are You Walking After?
Matthew 5:43-48
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Jesus is exhorting His disciples to live a life that's not like everyone else's life, but to live a life that is PERFECT, like His Father's. That we are to live a spiritual life of walking not according to our natural affinities.
We all have natural affinities, that is, we have some people we like and others we don't like, some that attract us by their appearance or intellect and others who are perhaps odd in their dress and a bit slow in thought, but we must never allow those likes and dislikes to rule in our Christian life.
I John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
God will give us a love for people with whom we really have no natural attraction.

Notice that the example God is giving us to go by is not that of a good man or of a bad man, but of God Himself, He says in verse 48 “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”

I know you're thinking how can I be perfect I'm human. We won't make excuses today, will we? Otherwise, we will start thinking like the NIV and all the other perversions of God’s Word who strip out the word “Perfect” where it speaks about mankind being “perfect.” They and their father the Devil don’t want you to have God’s character.
To be perfect would simply be to show to someone else what God has shown you from The Word of God. God will give us the opportunities to PROVE whether we are perfect as our Father in Heaven is perfect, by how we apply the Truths God has shown us from His Word = the mind of Christ / the mind of God / The King James Bible, amen! God only has one mind! not many versions! Are we still doing, ok?
You see to be a disciple of Christ means that we deliberately identify and desire God's interests in other people. Don’t forget at one time you were the “other people.” And Gods desire is that we as John 13:34 says, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”

We read in theological books and hear a lot in preaching about having good Christian character, but good Christian character is not about being a “do gooder,” but about having “God likeness.” If the Spirit of God has transformed you from within then it will naturally manifest divine characteristics in your life, NOT good human characteristics, that even a lost man can attain and produce. God's life in us will manifest itself AS God's life, NOT as human life trying to be godly.
II Cor. 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The Christians secret to being perfect is --- now don’t tell anyone, it is a secret, ok --- it is allowing the supernatural to be made natural by the grace of God working in you towards those within as well as those who are without.

Who are you walking after? A godly man or the God Man?

If You Cover Your Face How Will Others See Him?
Exodus 34:29
And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

Good morning brethren, happy Monday morning. Yesterday was a glorious day in the House of the Lord, I believe God was glorified and you were strengthened. In our text here this morning it says, “Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.”
That is how we are to go out into the world. This morning as you have been strengthened in the Lord from the preaching of the Word and your faith has increased and you've spent time with the Lord this morning in prayer and in the Book. It should be your desire to give the name of Jesus glory, to let others be blessed and desire that they too know Him.
Psalms 115:1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.

Jesus Christ is the Head, and we the Church are His body. When one of His is assaulted or nourished it is done to Jesus Himself.
Consider these next verses and let's apply them to our lives this morning.
Matthew 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, WHEN SAW WE THEE an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind LET EACH ESTEEM OTHER BETTER THAN THEMSELVES.
I Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, ALL OF YOU BE SUBJECT ONE TO ANOTHER, AND BE CLOTHED WITH HUMILITY: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Matthew 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and HIS FACE DID SHINE AS THE SUN, AND HIS RAIMENT WAS WHITE AS THE LIGHT.
Acts 6:15 And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, SAW HIS FACE AS IT HAD BEEN THE FACE OF AN ANGEL.
John 17:22 And THE GLORY which thou gavest me I HAVE GIVEN THEM; that they may be one, even as we are one:
II Corinthians 3:18 But we all, WITH OPEN FACE beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the SAME IMAGE from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Matthew 5:14-15 YE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD A city that is set on an hill CANNOT BE HID. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; AND IT GIVETH LIGHT UNTO ALL THAT ARE IN THE HOUSE.

Could This Be Said Of You?
Revelation 4:1-2, 6-11
After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

What a mind-blowing vision given to John, to see in the heavenly realm of God, as God receives UNCEASING WORSHIP from the four beasts surrounding His throne, day and night they never stop saying, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”

Could that be said of you? Someone who would be found in the presence of God saying, “Holy, holy, holy,” NEVER CEASING?

I wonder how many Christians today would even consider just ONE HOUR of worship before the throne of God, to be adequate adoration of the Holy God who created them and redeemed them back to Himself via the cross. Being they can’t even make it to one church service let alone four services a week.

For many Christians today going to church is asking too much, as life has so much to offer them. They will never be enthusiastic about church, the events of church, singing the hymns, reading the Bible, sitting around talking about Jesus. But yet they are very emphatic that yes, they're going to Heaven. What will they ever do there??? As there are no TV's, no football games, no excuses.
I don't believe God will force anybody into Heaven, just as I don't believe God forces people into church. It is our choice to say, “Holy holy holy.” I don't know if Jesus Christ will say when they get to Heaven, if they get to heaven, “You were never interested in worshipping Me while you are on earth, but in Heaven I'm going to make that your greatest interest and you will never cease to worship Me.”

God is so good to us! God gives us the victory, time after time, but it needs to be more than just after the victories that we live a life of praise and spiritual victory, a life of ceaseless praise and adoration to our great God and Saviour. That's what the beasts did around God, they rested not day or night.
Brethren my fear is that too many Christians, too many of God's professing Christians, are resting far too often between their efforts at praise. Oh, the toil of the praise! Yes, I'm being sarcastic as it makes my stomach turn, that Christianity today puts time limits on worshipping God, puts time limits on the preachers’ sermons.
God is holy, God is righteous, and God is so good to us when honestly, we deserve to reap every wage of our sin, we deserve to be in pain, we deserve to live a life of misery – WE EARNED IT! You say that doesn't sound nice, it's not nice, think about what your sin did to His Son. Oh, that’s right your more important than Him, you have excuses for why you are what you are, and what you are going through.
I wonder if the blind man or the lame man or the maniac of Gadara would say about your excuses?

Jesus said in Mat. 26:40-41 “And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?”

The disciples fell asleep and so do the people attending church. Why? They will make up many excuses, but the fact is that God is not interesting enough for them or they're worn out from the ways of the world which they willingly accept and enjoy. Brethren, the church has to be “holy”, we must live a disciplined life, we must be a holy people, because He is holy. Unfortunately, we have lived with unholiness for so long that we are just about incapable of even recognizing true holiness. We ought to be a holy people, but unfortunately today the preachers want to minister to their congregations’ feelings, they've given up Bible preaching on “holiness and separation from the unclean” and their congregation no longer feels the convicting power of The Word of God as it is being preached.
Preachers today give their congregations spiritual tranquilizers to numb the convicting power of the Holy Spirit of God. God's people out of sweat, sinners should sweat, backslidden Christians should sweat, as The Word of God slays them, that they may REPENT!
Brethren God, our God is a HOLY LORD, and His eyes are as a flame of fire, He has eyes that see right through our façade, we cannot hide anything from God, He sees all and knows all. But apparently, we have a hard time with that fact, we seem to thank our respectability should be accepted by our Lord as spirituality.
Brethren, that is nothing but self-righteous pharisaism. We like to think that we are important and we like to hear people talking about our importance. But every single one of us is gonna die one day and there will be a funeral service held for us or one of the happy go home services, then we will be buried, or cremated just like everybody else; I wonder will we in Heaven cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy” or will we put a time limit on our worship to God like we do here on earth. “Sorry God, I can only make one service to the throne to worship and praise you, gotta go, see you later.”

It's As Easy As 1,2,3 Are You Ready?
Job 23:10
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

1. “He knoweth the way that I take…”
Psalm 103:14 For he knoweth OUR FRAME; he remembereth THAT WE ARE DUST.
II Timothy 2:19-21 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, THE LORD KNOWETH THEM THAT ARE HIS. (Obviously, then there are some that are not His, then who’s are they? They are Satan's) And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ DEPART FROM INIQUITY. But in a great house there are not only vessels of GOLD and of SILVER, but also of WOOD and of EARTH; and some to HONOUR, and some to DISHONOUR. If a man therefore PURGE HIMSELF from these, HE SHALL BE a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

It is only when we “purge ourselves” = “depart from iniquity” that we will ever be a “vessel unto honour, sanctified and meet for the masters use, and prepared unto every good work.”
That is the first step, again it is as Easy As 1,2,3; OK here comes #2

2. “…when I am tried…”
Malachi 3:3 And HE SHALL sit as a REFINER AND PURIFIER of silver: and HE SHALL PURIFY the sons of Levi, and PURGE THEM as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
(Now I know we are not the Jews, but I'm spiritualizing the verse making it applicable for you and I, the Church)
Lam. 3:33 For he doth not afflict WILLINGLY nor grieve the children of men.
Not willingly afflict us or grieve us, but if we push Him, He will for our good! Amen?

Now that Steps 1 and 2 are done, step 3 will finish us.
3. “…I shall come forth as gold.”
Zechariah 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and WILL REFINE THEM AS SILVER IS REFINED, and will TRY THEM AS GOLD IS TRIED: THEY SHALL CALL ON MY NAME, and I WILL HEAR THEM: I will say, IT IS MY PEOPLE: and they shall say, THE LORD IS MY GOD.
Wow, did you see that? The Lord says, “They shall call on my name,” that name is JESUS! And He says, “I will hear them,” then I like this next part, I can hear the Lord bragging on His creation, “it is my people!” And we shall respond to Him and say, “the LORD is my God!”

Wow, that sounds pretty easy right? 1, 2, 3! Are you ready?

Will You Glorify Jesus?
John 16:13-15
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE WILL GUIDE YOU into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and HE WILL SHEW YOU things to come.
HE SHALL GLORIFY ME: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Jesus Christ promised that He would send us another Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, His Holy Spirit (the third part of the Godhead) and promised that His Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth, and He would show us things to come, but He also said, the Holy Spirit would glorify Him. The question is will you glorify Jesus as both Lord and Christ?
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you FOR EVER;
Jesus just said that His Holy Spirit would abide with us FOR EVER. How long is forever it is forever and ever and ever, it is everlasting, so tell me again how you can lose your salvation, how you can still go to Hell if you don't keep the ten commandments, which no man has ever done. If you could go to Hell after your salvation, then you would have to take His Holy Spirit to Hell with you. And He ain't going back there, He rose from the dead the third day just like He said He would and is sitting at the right hand of the Father, GLORY! Waiting to come back for His Bride, the Church, you and I.

If we honor Jesus, His Holy Spirit will honor us.
We walk with the Holy Spirit when we walk with Christ = as Christ will always be where He is glorified, honored and worshipped.
The Holy Spirit will honor the one who glorifies Jesus Christ.
We ought to start glorifying Jesus by His rightful title as The Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, BOTH LORD AND CHRIST.

As we glorify Jesus, the Spirit of God becomes joyful within us. Ever feel Him leap within you? Oh yes! It is the Spirit of God who will commune with us and impart Himself, and Jesus Christ becomes our ALL IN ALL.
Eph. 2:19-23 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth ALL IN ALL.

To glorify Jesus is the business of the church, and to glorify Jesus is the work of the Holy Spirit of God. We can walk with Him when we're doing the same things He is doing, and going the same way He is going, and traveling the same speed as He is traveling. We must glorify Jesus WITH OUR obedience, BY OUR witnessing and BY OUR fellowship.

Will you glorify Jesus as The Lord Jesus Christ?
