Is He?
John 13:12-17
So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Mankind's greatest strength is his flesh, his rebellion of authority, as authority requires us to submit. Jesus said, “Ye call me Lord and Master”, oh but in our actions He is not.

Jesus Christ never insists on having authority in our lives, He never said “Thou shalt make me your authority”. He leaves us completely free to do what we will (contrary to Calvin’s demonistic theology, we have a free will). Jesus Christ sets us free, so free that we could spit in His face, (you probably just flinched right, there I know I did just even thinking about how wicked that would be), but that's exactly what men did, we are so free that we could put Him to death, and that's exactly what men did, and we held Him there with our sins on that cross till it was finished.

Many Christians, if not all would say that they would never do such a thing, but that is not true either, as we deny Him authority in our lives in some area every day, but when Jesus’ life created in us redemption - that is when we began to recognize His right to absolute authority over us. That is moral domination!

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
What is it that makes Him worthy to receive glory and honour and power? Now think about that question don't be too quick to answer, I will ask that question again at the end.

It is only our unworthiness in us that refuses to bow down to the worthy.
For instance, when I met Buford, a brother in the Lord, who is more holier than myself, and that's not hard to be, I did not recognize his worthiness and obey what came through him as he preached The Word of God or what his life preached as he walks in uprightness, in holiness.
You see if Jesus Christ insisted upon obedience, He would become a taskmaster, and He would cease to have authority over me, my will. But He never insists on obedience, but if we did see Him pop up somewhere we would obey Him instantly and would worship Him in our obedience to anything and everything, from sunup to sundown.

Now watch this, since we are talking about obedience; obedience is only possible between equals. Did you catch that? Obedience is only possible between equals. It is the relationship between Father and Son, between Master and Servant.
Jesus says in John 10:30 “I and my Father are ONE.”
John 5:18 "Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God."
Now does that sound like a master and a servant?
Hebrews 5:8 "Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;"
The Son's obedience was as Redeemer, because He was Son, and not in order to be Son.
Now apply that to your relationship with the Father and the Son!!! Preach!
Galatians 4:4-7 "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ."

So, what is it that makes Him worthy to receive glory and honour and power?

Is He your Lord and master; worthy to receive glory and honour?

Is He?

Do You Conceal Christ Or Confess Christ?
Matthew 10:32-33
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Is it possible to be a Secret Christian? That is, is it possible to not confess Christ openly? Well of course it is, but only for a short time. We have Joseph of Arimathea who was a Secret Christian in John 19:38 which says, “And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.”
There was Nicodemus who for years concealed Christ only to later confess to be a Christian in John 3 and John 7. There were also many chief rulers who were believers that concealed Christ because the Pharisees would run them out of the synagogues. John 12:42-43 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
You see, eventually IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN, it will come out, and you will confess.

There are two parts to salvation that the apostle Paul preaches to the Gentiles; they are: BELIEVE in thine heart, which is the receiving of the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and CONFESSING with thy mouth the Lord Jesus. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Now I know this goes contrary to the ‘hyper diapers’ out there but whatever!

We have the penitent thief on the cross who CONFESSED Jesus, by saying in Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Here's the kicker the thief on the cross that confessed Jesus Christ by simply saying the word “LORD” that is taken out of EVERY bible perversion that ever existed. They take the word “Lord” out - his confession out, interesting, isn't it? Those same Bible perverts strip out = Acts 8:37, because again, it is a CONFESSION of Christ. “And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God.”
Interesting isn't it!
You see confessing Christ strengthens our faith.
It gives us even greater courage to do what He would have us to do.
Confessing the Lord Jesus Christ, solves so many problems in life.
Confessing Jesus Christ publicly, will automatically put us into a different group of people, and I'm talking about a different group of Christians, not all Christians are created equal, not all Christians will claim Him as “Lord,” but simply “master” as Judas did.
Brethren, we ought to confess Jesus Christ, because of what He has done for us.

The apostle Peter denied the Lord and did not confess Him at one point in his life, and it just about destroyed him. The point is, when we will not confess Christ, we are around the vilest of people, and we become vile ourselves, when we conceal Christ.
In Jeremiah 20:9 Jeremiah says, “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.”
But he could not hold back, why because His WORD was in his heart; a true Christian who attempts to limit his testimony will burn up with conviction, they have a fire that cannot be hid and that fire must reveal itself.
Matthew 5:14-15 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Confessing Christians have a harder time sinning because you cannot claim Christ and sin at the same time unless you are a reprobate.
Concealing Christian’s will sin openly, in front of everybody and be proud of it. No accountability! Oh, the shame! Therefore, Jesus will not confess them before the Father; that is according to His own Words in Matthew 10, not mine.

Who are these “Confessing Christians”? They are those in the workplace that names the name of Jesus, they are those who wear scriptures on their shirts, scriptures on their cars, they are the ones on the streets preaching, they're the ones knocking doors, preaching Christ, preaching the gospel.
What are the “Concealed Christians” doing? Nothing!

Who are you going to witness/confess to?
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

A real Christian confesses Christ, never conceal Him.

Do You Enjoy Reading The Bible?
John 5:39
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

So many of us at times find it hard to read our Bible, we get into sections and we get bored or we get tired or we don't understand. Sometimes you may even not read your Bible for a day, 2 days, weeks. So, this morning I wanna try and help you restore that joy that you get from reading God’s Word, the King James Bible.

Jesus said that “man shall not live by bread alone but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” in Mat. 4:4. That’s right, EVERY WORD!
Now we know we have EVERY WORD of God that He has preserved for us in our King James Bible, and we know that Jesus would NEVER tell us to do something that could never be done, right? In our text Jesus says, “Search the scriptures... they are they which testify of me.”
Instead of reading the Bible for information, studies, outlines, daily quotas, read the Bible to meet with Jesus.

In Psalms 34:8 it says, “O TASTE AND SEE that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”
Now, I know every one of you love to eat, how do I know that, because you're a Baptist! Amen, First Class baby! Now let's look over at Jer. 15:16 Thy words were found, and I DID EAT THEM; and THY WORD WAS UNTO ME the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

Now do you think Jeremiah as he read God’s Word, do you think he said when he was done, “Ok God I I read my Bible today, I can check that off my list of to do’s for today?” No, I don't believe so.

He met with God and God restored the joy and rejoicing of his heart. All because he ATE THEM. He took time with each sentence, with each word, and chewed on them and enjoyed the flavor, much like we would a nice juicy steak with the fat on the edge charred just right that it may explode with juices in every bite, our perhaps a bowl of creamy rocky road ice cream. Come on now, you know what I’m talking about! That’s how we ought to EAT His Word.

Meet with Jesus this morning, talk with Jesus, talk to the Word, I bet He answers you back! Sure, people may think your crazy, but who really cares, heck they are the crazy ones for rejecting the only One that could give them everlasting Joy.

Will you enjoy JESUS this morning?
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD.
I John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the WORD, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Yes, Jesus is THE WORD, and yes, I know you say you can just meet with Jesus in prayer and tell Him what you want Him to do for you today, but how much better would it be to allow Him to speak to you from His Word/Himself and enjoy one another?

Will you search the scriptures/Jesus? He wants to be read. He reads us clearly and understands us well. Do you know Him as well as He knows you? You can.

Who Is “He”?
Proverbs 17:15
HE that justifieth the wicked, and HE that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.

I like playing the children's game “Guess Who”. The goal is to guess who it is, what character the other player has chosen, by asking what they are wearing or what their physical attributes are.

In today's Proverb that same question came to mind “Who is He?”
When I looked at some of the commentaries to see what they might have to say, they are either silent on it, or they take everything completely out of context and apply it incorrectly. They still don't seem to know who "He" is.

So, let's just use the Bible to figure out who is this “He.” What a great concept right let the Bible define itself!

It started out with this “condemneth the just”. It is the “Pharisee,” that condemns the “just”, (Acts 3:14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;) and it is the “False Prophet” who justifieth the wicked. That is easily seen in Ezekiel chapters 18 and 33, Jeremiah 23, and even in Amos 5:12 which says, “For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.”

Who is He?

Now watch this!
In Romans 4:1-5 it says, “What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
Come on now, did you see that??? That was God justifying the “ungodly, the wicked.” BUT, only on the grounds of THE IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS OF ANOTHER.
Romans 3:24-26 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time HIS righteousness: that HE might be just, and THE JUSTIFIER of him which believeth in Jesus.

By the way the Bible says in Romans 3:10-25 (go there and read it) that there is “none righteous, no, not one” so God can never CONDEMN THE JUST! Amen!
Gen. 18:25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

Who is He?

God won that game!

Are You A Priest Unto God?
Revelation 1:5-6
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

One of the greatest things for a Christian after their salvation is to come to the knowledge that we are priests unto God.

The priesthood in the Old Testament was only for a certain people among the Jewish nation. To be a priest you not only had to be born an Israelite, but you also had to be born of the tribe of Levi and of the House of Aaron. Only the priests were able to go into the Holy Place and only the high priest could go into the Holiest of Holies once a year to make atonement for the people; that is where he would bring in the censor of burning incense representing the prayers of God’s people and the blood of the lamb to the ark of God where God's presence was.

When Christ died on the cross of Calvary, the veil that separated the priest from the presence of God was torn from top to bottom, it gave access to ALL priests. That is extremely important to you and I today who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, because God made everyone who received Jesus Christ a BELIEVER PRIEST unto Himself. It is by our new birth that we are made priests, therefore we have access into His presence, and are CALLED TO OFFER UP spiritual sacrifices to Him of our praise and our service to Him. What have you offered Him lately?

We are representing Him as a priest to God everywhere we go, and we can worship Him anywhere we are. We have direct access to Him!
Now this does not minimize the importance of the church; it only maximizes the responsibility of every believer! To forsake the church that Christ died for is the forsake Christ Himself, His body, that is not an obedient priest, that is not a priest who is a SERVANT unto God, but a SERVANT OF SELF. Unfortunately, there are many Believers who think that they can be a priest unto God on Sundays in their own homes or at the football game. I wonder what God thinks about that mindset as they offer up their “strange fire.”
Lev. 10:1-2 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Are you a Priest UNTO God? If not a Priest unto God then a priest UNTO who?

What kind of Priest are you?
