Salem Chapel, we have the opportunity to serve our neighbors in need in a big way. As you know, Gary IN has been without power after sustaining major damage in the storm on August 11. They may not see power restored yet for days and in a city with so few resources already, this is devastating. Salem Chapel's leadership has VERY quickly crafted a plan, and I will be delivering water, food, and gas cards to Christ UMC tomorrow morning. YOU CAN STILL CONTRIBUTE. Mark your checks or envelopes for "mission: Gary" and place in the offering plate on Sunday. Needs for replenishing food supplies and cleaning supplies will continue even after their power is restored. For those who have already contributed, thank you! And thank you to all of you for your continued generosity and care of our neighbors. -Pastor Trish
