Pastors have a heavy load to carry. A question to ask yourself is - are you helping bear that load or are you making it heavier?
He spends hours upon hours studying and seeking God so that he can come in and feed the flock.
He forsakes his time, to help you in your time of need.
He loses sleep at night, because he is on his knees praying for his church.
He fights a battle every single day, but he is trying. Trying to be the best leader that he can be for the sheep. Trying to make sure that he makes the right decisions in all that he does, and in doing so he will base those decisions on Gods word.
Yet regardless of what he does, he will be criticized. He will be mocked. He will be betrayed. He will be put down.
With all that's going on today, your pastor NEEDS your prayers. He doesn't need to feel the pressure of resistance or of disrespect, he needs to be lifted up in prayer. He needs to be supported. He is carrying a heavy load.
And if you love your pastor, you will pray for him. You will respect him. You will HELP him carry the load. You will NOT make it heavier for him.
Respect your pastor. Respect your church.
And in doing so, you will be respecting CHRIST!
See, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.
Isaiah 55:4
