The Soul Box Project: Michigan Memorial & Gun Violence Awareness Events

Join Lansing Central United Methodist Church from November 1–13, 2026, for a moving memorial honoring lives lost to gun violence and supporting reflection, remembrance, and hope.

🕯️ Sunday, November 1 | 4 PM
Service for Reflection and Healing on All Saints Day

🔨 Saturday, November 7 | 1–5 PM
Guns to Garden Tools — Rev. Corey Simon demonstrates the transformation of fi****ms into garden tools.

🎥 Saturday, November 7 | 4 PM
Screening of All the Empty Rooms, a short documentary honoring children killed in school shootings and the families they leave behind.

Throughout the exhibit, handmade paper boxes will honor lives lost to gun violence, reminding us of the people and communities behind the statistics. https://soulboxproject.us/

Apparently, someone heard the good news! Our newest attendee, an American mink, was waiting to greet Pastor Susan in the parking lot when she left church after worship.
