Prayers for our priests of the diocese in the month of October!

One of our own families featured by Vocation Ministry! Prayers for the Koenigsknecht family and all families of our diocese in efforts to build a culture of vocations!

Three brothers. Three priests.

When Fr. Randy Koenigsknecht was ordained to the priesthood this summer, it marked a remarkable moment for one Michigan family. Standing beside him were his older brothers, Fr. Todd and Fr. Gary, who had been ordained eleven years earlier. Three brothers. Three priests.

Their story didn't begin in a seminary.

It began on a dairy farm, where faith was woven into ordinary family life. The Koenigsknechts prayed together each week, attended Mass faithfully, prayed before meals, and watched their uncle, a priest, quietly live his vocation with joy and humility.

Perhaps the most beautiful part of their story is something any family can do.

As each child entered high school, their parents sat down with them individually and asked:

"Have you ever considered that God might be calling you to the priesthood or religious life?"

That simple invitation helped create an environment where God's call could be heard.

The Koenigsknecht family's witness reminds us that fostering vocations doesn't require extraordinary circumstances. It begins with faithful parents, daily prayer, and the courage to invite our children to be open to whatever God has planned.

Please pray for families, parents, and all those discerning their vocation. May more homes become places where God's call can be heard and joyfully answered. 🙏

Dear young adults, we are excited to continue our virtual & in person study of John Paul II's Theology of the Body in just a few weeks!
For those of you who weren't with us for the first part this past spring, not to worry...you are welcome to jump in on Wednesday, Sept 23rd 8-9:30pm. Fr. Mike and I will give a summary recap this first session before going deeper into the study. We hope to see you in person or over zoom with us.
