Hey Eastwood, Potterville, and S Lansing,

This Sunday, all three campuses are coming together at Lansing Shuffle at 10:30 AM!

It’s our final Summer at Sycamore event before we head into fall and the kickoff of Kids Creek, Teen Fuel, small groups, big days, and more.

Lansing Shuffle is right on the Grand River behind the Lansing Center, across from the Lansing Lugnuts, and behind the colorful Marketplace Apartments. I’ll include a map to help you find it.
Parking is free. Park behind the Lansing Center, then pick up a parking voucher when you arrive.

This will be a family worship service, with activity bags for kids. The space is big, open, and informal, so kids can stay at your table, play games, visit the video game corner, or even grab ice cream when Browndog opens at 11:00.

Yes, you can buy your kid ice cream in the middle of my sermon.

We’re also launching our new series, Everything Is a Story, inspired by Kaitlin B. Curtice’s book of the same name. We’ll be giving away some of her children’s books, plus other prizes, including two $50 Lansing Shuffle gift cards.

And don’t rush home afterward.

Stick around for lunch, with options ranging from Thai and sushi to burgers, Mexican food, chicken, fish, hot dogs, churros, and ice cream. Rent a shuffleboard court, walk the River Trail, or just hang out along the Grand River.

Come for worship. Stay for lunch, games, and one last Summer at Sycamore hangout.

What do you say when the words don't work anymore?
Words change over time. They grow, shift, get weaponized, then abandoned. Especially the sacred ones. And when we lose them, we lose the wisdom they were carrying. This August, we're playing with some of the most important ones — God, neighbor, blessed, salvation, confession — and learning to use them again. By the time summer ends, you'll have a vocabulary worth actually living.

Right now it looks like the S Lansing campus won't hold on to that Ignite trophy! And it's a dead between Eastwood and Potterville Campuses.

The campus with the most pre-registrations gets to take home the gaudy Ignite Trophy and hold it for the year. What will it get you? Free drinks at any coffee shop or pub in Lansing. (Maybe we just oversold the value of this trophy...)
