This Sunday, June 7, we celebrate Music Celebration Sunday — marking the end of the choir season — as Pastor Ron Bohannon preaches on "A New Song," encouraging worshipers to remain open to God's call and the Spirit's leading.
In our 10:15a Contemporary Worship, the Praise Team will lead music, with Daniel & Stephanie Achoki Hufford and Pastor Nancy Hess leading worship.
In our 10:30a Sanctuary Worship service, the Chancel Choir will perform selections including "When in Our Music God Is Glorified" (Ziegenhals), "How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place" (Brahms), "Ain'-a That Good News" (Dawson), and "I Was Glad When They Said Unto Me" (Parry). The Carillon Bell Choir will ring "Triumph Song of Life" (Childers), and pianist Kaleb Lambert will collaborate with organist Margaret Marsch for the prelude. Judi Hess will lead both of our Traditional Worship services.
Recent graduates from high school and post-secondary programs will also be recognized across services. Guest preacher Sixto Castillo — a family counselor from the Dominican Republic specializing in Christian identity — will preach in our Spanish-language service.
Those unable to attend in person can view live-streamed broadcasts of our 10:15a Contemporary Worship and our 10:30a Traditional Worship via our website (www.lancob.org). The Sanctuary service will also be streamed via Facebook Live.
