August 11, 2024 was our annual Backpack Sunday, a service to dedicate all of the backpacks we filled in support of the Second Chance Center. This year we donated 209 backpacks filled with basic hygiene products that will be given to returning citizens who were formerly incarcerated and have been released, most likely with only the clothes on their backs. We were honored to be visted by many members of the team at SCC and to share a meal with them after the service.

This past Sunday, Pastor Ryan shared a blessing for the quilt pieced by Eunice Brenneman and for all those who spent time quilting it to be auctioned off at the annual MCC sale this Saturday. It’s beautiful! Come to Rocky Ford to bid on it or you can bid on line.

Glennon Night Live was a great success this past Saturday evening! Donations for a delicious potato bar, free will offering, and enthusiastic support for auctioned items during the variety show brought in over $6000 for our Next Step fund which supports our youth attending Mennonite schools. Here is a taste of the fun and talent shared during the evening.
