We live in a world filled with “I”.
Often, we hear statements, “I found Jesus” or “I invited Jesus into my heart”.
We only see Jesus when the Holy Spirit opens our hearts and minds. This is only done by His word. The Holy Spirit reveals Jesus to us. It is not of our own accord. Jesus said, “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.” John 15:26

Do you have “True Joy”? Not happiness. Actual pure joy that carries you through life’s difficulties.
True joy is tied to the obedience of God’s Word
Jesus said, “ If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. John 13:13-17

The creator of everything, the One that is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in goodness and truth loves you. He came and gave His life for you.
Who am I to not worship Him?

“You are my friends if you do what I command you.” John 15:14

Do you have a friend or know someone when the only time they ever talk to you is to ask a favor?
You probably don’t like that situation. It’s not much of a relationship.
Is this the way we treat our creator? The One that saved us?
God isn’t a vending machine we go to with our “wish-list”. Yet we often treat Him this way.
We are shallow sinners in need of redemption. The God that offers redemption wants to have a relationship with you. Talk to Him. He desires to spend time with you. He listens and He answers.

Remember Jesus’ model prayer and how it begins?
“Father, hallowed be your name.” Luke 11:2
How do we pray?
Do we acknowledge the holiness of the One whom we are praying to?
Do we pray with a clean heart?
The most difficult prayer is to not pray selfishly.
“You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.” James 4:3
God wants us to believe in Him and trust Him in our prayers. Even when He doesn’t answer with a yes.
Jesus is coming. Are you ready?

Pray for this young generation.
While they face many of the same evils, the amount of evil in this world today is greater than many of us have ever faced.
It starts with each one of us.
Open their eyes, desire revival, delight in His statues and do not forget His Word.

He is calling. Turn to Jesus and follow Him.

Sometimes we will “go along” with the crowd. We’ll convince ourselves it is just a “little sin” or “it really isn’t that bad”, “everyone else does it”. If it is against God's word it is sin. Our opinion or explanation cannot and will not change that fact.

“Did God really say?”, is perhaps the most used expression to seek “liberty from God”, just as satan did in rebellion against God.

We all want joy. We can have real joy every day. Repent daily, turn to Jesus and follow Him.

Do you stink?
Rough question, however the real question is, how often do you wash? I doubt you wash once or twice in your lifetime. I’m guessing you wash yourself pretty regularly so you don’t stink. How often do you wash spiritually? Do you stink spiritually? All of us, everyday need to wash ourselves clean spiritually.

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” Romans 6:1-2
Today, spend time with the One that loves you and gave Himself for you. Without repentance, there is no full joy.
Jesus is coming. Are you ready?
