What a sweet day at Legacy Farm! 🌾

Yesterday our church family gathered under the sun for a picnic full of worship, welcome, and good old-fashioned fellowship. We sang together, remembered the Lord’s Supper as one body, and had the joy of welcoming a new family into membership with us.

Then came lunch, laughter, and a whole lot of putt-putt. Kids ran wild, friends caught up, and there was nowhere else we wanted to be.

This is what it’s all about, doing life together, sharing meals, and being family. So grateful for our Lake Country Baptist community. 💛

This Sunday, we're digging into two passages that might feel worlds apart: Galatians 5 and Leviticus 19. But they're asking us the same question: what do you do with your freedom?

Paul says we're free. Not free to do whatever we want, but free to love our neighbor. And centuries earlier, Leviticus was already laying out what that looks like in the dirt and details of everyday life: how we treat the poor, the vulnerable, the person right in front of us.

It's easy to think freedom means "me first." Randy Adams is joining us this Sunday to make the case that real freedom looks a lot more like "you first," and why that changes everything about how we live with each other.

It is easy to go through all the motions of worship — giving generously, singing loudly, celebrating enthusiastically — and still have your heart pointed in the wrong direction. In Exodus 32, the Israelites did exactly that. They gave their gold, planned a feast, and raised their voices, all while bowing to an idol they had made with their own hands.

True worship is not about the experience, the atmosphere, or what feels right to us. It is shaped by the truth of God's Word, directed toward the glory of Jesus Christ, and produces real transformation in our lives (John 4:24).

If you have never trusted Jesus as your Savior, the gospel is simple: He did all the work. Your part is to trust Him.

Do not settle for worship that is sincere but misdirected. Know your Bible. Know your God.
