Sometimes the enemy doesn’t try to make you stop believing in God… he just tries to distort how you see Him.

If he can make you see God through the lens of pain instead of truth, everything starts to shift: trust gets guarded, prayer feels distant, and intimacy slowly fades.

That’s why we have to keep coming back to His Word and letting truth reframe what hurt has tried to redefine. Healing often starts with remembering who God actually is, not who pain made Him look like.

Has your view of God ever been shaped by a season of hurt?

This is one of those things that honestly makes me so grateful to see in real time… a teen actually excited to spend time with God.

I love that this set isn’t just “another journal,” but something that helps them slow down, process life, and actually build a relationship with Jesus in a way that feels real to them. And the teen boy version is just as powerful, meeting them right where they are while pointing them back to truth.

Sometimes the smallest daily habits are what shape the deepest roots.

Sometimes the clearest prayer is the simplest one.

It’s not about forcing clarity but surrendering what we can’t see clearly and trusting God with both the “yes” and the “no.” Some things are meant to grow, and some are meant to fade, and peace usually follows when we stop trying to control the outcome.

What’s one area in your life right now you need clarity on?

It’s wild how easy it is to look at everything happening in the world and miss where the real battle actually is.

When you zoom out, you start to realize the fight was never just “out there” in culture or politics… there’s a deeper layer the enemy tries to blur, especially when it comes to the church and places of influence.

That’s why discernment matters more than ever and why staying rooted in God’s Word can’t be optional right now.

This journal really came out of a very personal place.

I wasn’t trying to “create a product,” I was honestly just trying to figure out how to stay consistent in prayer and actually feel close to God in a real, sustainable way. And somewhere along the way, it became something I knew other people needed too.

It’s simple, but intentional. A space to slow down, reflect, and actually walk with God day by day instead of just trying to “figure it all out” in your head.

I’m still kind of in awe that so many people are using it to deepen their own relationship with Him. That’s really all I ever wanted it to be.

Today while studying John Bevere’s new book The King Is Coming I wanted to share some of my takeaways because I think they are incredibly important for the time we are living in right now.

There are seasons you cannot change. You can only decide how you will move in them. The wise person doesn’t fight the season they’re in. They cooperate with it. And right now the world is in a season of offense, bitterness, and outrage. So what do we do? We need to disconnect from it and limit our interaction with it. And we do this not because we're scared but because the Lord instructs us to act with wisdom. I keep thinking about Lot’s wife. She was told not to look back but she couldn’t detach her heart from what she was leaving. And she became a pillar of salt. Frozen. Staring at the very thing she was warned to walk away from. That image hits me differently right now. We scroll. We refresh. We go back to check again. Somehow we have convinced ourselves that staying informed is the same as staying prepared. But God never told us to make sure we are not ignorant. He told us to make sure we are not deceived. He told us to keep oil in our lamps. And in Hosea when He says His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, read it in context. That is not speaking about knowledge of current events. it's knowledge of His Word.

Ephesians 2:2 calls it the "course of the world". It has a flow and that flow is contrary to God’s kingdom. It wants you out of God’s purpose. It wants you focused on myths and misdirection, seeking things that pull you out of sync with His appointed times and seasons. And it is strong. It is deceptive. It operates without restraint. The Bible tells us that self-control will be lacking in the last days and that is by design. This current is designed to pull you out of alignment with the kingdom of God before you even realize what has happened.

Titus 2:12-13 brings it home. Are you devoted to God and looking forward in HOPE? Or are you living in disillusion, anxiety, and despair? Because one of those is alignment with God’s Word and the other is a direct contradiction to it. And these behaviors don’t stay on the surface. They begin to harden the heart, and a hardened heart left unaddressed can lead to disqualification.

God has much to say about the season we are in. Not to scare us but to prepare us. Know the season. Act in alignment. Lock your eyes on what is ahead.

I’ve linked John’s book HERE: https://amzn.to/4tBQeos if you want to check it out and go deeper on this subject. It has been a huge blessing to me so far and I am only on Chapter 4. One thing I love about John Bevere is that he makes it so easy to study. He gives you a clear plan and also has videos available to go even deeper. So if you’re going to read it, grab a friend or two and do it together. It would make for an incredible small group study and I think you’ll be glad you did.

LOCK.EYES. WITH. JESUS

God Bless~

Newly saved energy hits different.

When Scripture starts coming alive and suddenly, you’re like “wait… why does everything make sense now?”

And that joy in the beginning of your walk with God? It’s real, it’s loud, and honestly… a little chaotic in the best way.

Never lose that first-love fire.

Church hurt has a way of doing something really quiet but really heavy… it doesn’t just wound your trust in people, it starts to make you question God Himself.

Suddenly you’re wondering, “Did I misunderstand Him? Is He really like this? Am I the problem?” And those questions can sit with you longer than the hurt itself.

But God is not the author of confusion or distortion. What people do in His name is not always who He is. Healing often begins when we separate the two again.
