Christ Community Church

Christ Community Church Christ Community Church of Laguna Hills Our highest aim is to exalt the living God in worship and in the faithful proclamation of His truth. People need Christ!

So you will find the Bible, God’s Word, to be the central focus of all of our ministries, studies, and programs. We desire, as a family of believers, to be always growing in the grace and truth of the Lord Jesus Christ. Sound doctrine (teaching) marks our faith community. Always striving to be anchored in God’s Word, we seek to be a church where right doctrine translates into right living. We don’

t want to be “hearers only” of the Word – we want to be transformed by its power! We want Christ’s life to be lived through us – changing our hearts, minds, and relationships in unmistakable ways. Gospel centeredness drives our message. The world doesn’t need any more “self help” or manmade rules and regulations wrapped in religious language. As a church that belongs to Christ, our central message is Him. Jesus Christ lived the perfect life that every one of us – because of our sinful rebellion – failed to live. And Jesus died on the cross at Calvary the death that every one of us deserved. His resurrection from the dead is the foundation of our only real hope … and we have discovered that the hope that is ours in Christ is our greatest treasure. “In Him!” is the core of what we preach and who we are. Classic evangelicalism is our history and our identity. We are unashamedly a people of the Bible. We uphold the truths that are distinctively Protestant and Reformational. At the same time, we recognize that we – as sinners saved by grace – must be a gracious people. We strive to be warm and hospitable, welcoming all who come our way in Christ’s name. We seek to be humble to the core, knowing that only the Spirit of Christ can empower us to truly serve as His ambassadors in a way that honors Him and hides us. Joyful worship is our way of life! In song and beautiful music … in historic creeds and testimonies by new believers … in unshakeable conviction and loving hospitality … we seek to make Christ known in the way we honor Him in praise, adoration, and thanksgiving. Sunday morning worship is the highlight of our week, and we invite you to join us as we exalt the Lord together. Our prayer is that, when you walk onto the campus of Christ Community Church, you will feel like you have come home. Welcome home!

Grace doesn’t ignore the truth, and truth isn’t opposed to love. Often, the deepest kindness comes through the faithful wound of a friend.

The gospel is both humbling and liberating. It tells us we’re not as innocent as we’d like to believe, but we’re far more loved than we ever imagined. When we stop building a case for ourselves, we’re finally free to rest in Christ’s finished work.

We spend so much of life chasing success, comfort, security, or the relief of suffering.
But what if our deepest longing isn’t any of those?
What if what we’re really searching for is the presence of God?
The story of Scripture isn’t just about forgiveness. It’s about a Father making a way for His children to come home. Through Christ, the barrier of sin is removed, and the presence we were made for is ours again.
In every fear, every disappointment, every dark night of the soul, Jesus says, “I’m here.”

From the beginning, humanity was created to cultivate, create, build, and bring order and beauty into God’s world. Culture is not a mistake — it’s part of our mandate.
But sin bends even our best gifts inward. We still build, create, and innovate — only now so often for our own glory rather than God’s. What was meant to reflect the Creator becomes a mirror turned toward the self.
The good news is that Jesus doesn’t abandon culture makers. He redeems them.
Scripture’s story begins in a garden and ends in a city. Between the two stands Christ — the true image-bearer, restoring what sin has fractured, making all things new.

Another episode just dropped: Bear With One Another: The Unglamorous Work of Staying

Christian community isn’t built on perfect people. It’s built on ordinary believers who, by God’s grace, choose to stay, forgive, endure, and love one another through weaknesses, disappointments, and differences.
In this episode of Between Sundays, we explore what Scripture means when it calls us to “bear with one another”—and why this often-overlooked command is essential for a healthy church.

The deepest joys of the Christian life were never meant to be experienced alone.

God gathers us into His church so that together we might see more of Christ, savor more of Christ, and show more of Christ to the world.

See you Sunday!

Whether you’re married, single, widowed, or longing to be married, the ultimate love story of Scripture is not about human marriage.

It’s about Christ and His church.

From the first wedding in Eden to the marriage supper of the Lamb, the Bible tells one unfolding story of God’s covenant love for His people.

Join us this Sunday as we continue our series, From Garden to Glory, and trace the threads of redemption woven throughout Scripture—from Genesis to Revelation.

Love is one of the most familiar commands in Scripture—and one of the easiest to misunderstand.

Biblical love is far more than affection, sentiment, or good intentions. It is a deliberate, self-giving commitment to seek the good of others, even when it costs us something. That’s why the New Testament repeatedly calls believers to “love one another.”

In this episode of Between Sundays, we explore what Christian love actually looks like in everyday relationships, why it’s impossible apart from God’s grace, and how loving one another becomes one of the clearest displays of the gospel to a watching world.
