We are a part of the Evangelical Covenant Church denomination with a worship style that is contemporary and ministries and opportunities for growth for all ages. Join us as we grow into our new name together—as a community

"We are God’s presence among the nations by living in obedience to God’s life-giving laws and decrees. We are the presence of God to our neighbors by following the ways that God invites us to live, across all of the spheres where we interact with our neighbors.

If we are afraid to try and keep God’s laws because we know we’ll fail, then we are missing the point. The people have already failed, and Moses is inviting them in again. They have a chance to “recalculate.” It’s not about perfect obedience, but it’s about the expectation of faithful obedience in relationship to God."

"'When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.' (Leviticus 19.33-34)

God was not talking about their fellow Israelites. He is talking about immigrants.... I know this is a touchy subject, but I speak as a pastor-theologian—not as a politician. This verse has something incredibly important to teach us about how we treat immigrants, documented or undocumented.

While it’s true that the ancient world didn’t have border patrols or visas or green cards... The overriding biblical principle stands: human vulnerability—not legal status—dictates how God expects his people to treat the outsider."

Ladies, discover the natural beauty of the Prophetstown prairie with us. We are gathering for a guided walk on Thursday, June 4, from 6:30–8:00 PM. During our walk, we will get to sample native tea and learn to twine plant fibers. The cost is $4 per person. We hope you can join us for this immersive event!
