What does it really mean to “take up your cross”?

Sometimes it looks like the big, courageous moments. But often, it looks much more ordinary. Choosing honesty, offering forgiveness, releasing control, or simply staying present with someone who is hurting.

Jesus calls us to a different kind of power: the courage to love, even when it costs us something.

Who do you say that Jesus is?

On Sunday, we were excited to introduce 13 new Confirmands to our Asbury family!

As they begin this important journey of growing in faith, learning more about what it means to follow Jesus, and discovering their place in the life of the church, they each received a Bible to guide and inspire them along the way.

Please join us in praying for these 13 young people as they grow in faith, ask big questions, build new friendships, and continue discovering the love of Jesus. We can’t wait to see where God leads them!

What a beautiful Sunday as we celebrated the baptism of Franklin Leonberger, son of Chris & Ashley Leonberger! 💙

Over the past few weeks, our Asbury family has been blessed with so many new little lives and new brothers and sisters in Christ. What a joy it is to welcome each one into our church family and to promise that we will walk alongside them, love them, pray for them, and help them grow in the light of Christ.

Welcome, Franklin! We are so grateful God has entrusted you to our Asbury family. May your life always be surrounded by the love of Christ and a community that will cheer you on in faith. ✝️💙

🌊 Keep your eyes on Christ. Trust His presence. Take the next step.

Sometimes we wish Jesus would simply calm the storm and make the trouble disappear. But the protection Jesus offers is often something different: His presence with us in the middle of it.

When the wind is strong and the waves are rising, Jesus reminds us to keep our eyes on Him. We may not always be given an easy way out, but we can be given the courage to step forward, knowing we do not face the storm alone.

𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞.

When the wind and waves of life feel overwhelming, Jesus meets us right where we are with a simple reminder: “Take heart. It is I. Do not be afraid.”

We have a choice in those moments. To let fear pull us down, or to trust the presence of Jesus and step out of the boat, even into the unknown.

Because sometimes the storm isn’t where God is absent. It’s where God is inviting us to trust Him more deeply, step out in courage, and discover that with our eyes on Jesus, we can do things we never dreamed possible. ❤️
