La Plata UMC is a small church family committed to reaching out in our community with the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ. Sunday mornings we gather for worship at 8am - singing hymns accompanied by piano and exploring the way the Scriptures tell both God's story among people long ago and through Jesus also invite us into God's story unfolding today. ly service makes the rest of the day available to spend time with family and friends. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. We are active in our local food pantry and clothing center through La Plata Christian Ministries. We invite you to come and visit some Sunday to see old friends and make new ones, following Jesus together!
