Today we had the honor of recognizing our senior, Grace Walsh, during Senior Sunday.
Grace Caroline Walsh is a graduating senior from Mecklenburg County High School who has made a lasting impact through her leadership, character, and involvement. Throughout her high school career, she has been actively engaged in a wide range of activities, including volleyball and soccer, where she served as team captain. Grace has also demonstrated strong leadership through her roles as vice president of DECA, as well as her involvement in SGA, FCA, BETA Club, and as a student ambassador. She plans to attend North Carolina State University to study biomedical engineering. Guided by her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” Grace encourages younger students to apply for every opportunity, try new things, and never let fear of failure hold them back, reminding them that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.
Grace has also been selected as a North Carolina State University Park Scholar, a prestigious honor earned through a rigorous and highly competitive application process that included interviews and an immersive weekend at NC State. This recognition reflects her excellence in the four pillars of the Park Scholarship: scholarship, leadership, service, and character, and as a Park Scholar, she has been awarded a four-year full scholarship to North Carolina State University.
We are so proud of you, Grace, and cannot wait to see how God continues to work in your life. Your church family is cheering you on every step of the way! ❤️
