💚 Every once in a while, someone reminds us what giving back is really about.

Meet Jake, an 8-year-old whose birthday wish isn't for money, toys, or presents. His goal? Fill a U-Haul van with food donations for local families. 🚐🥫

Last week, Jake and his dad came to the Hunger Task Force with this idea. After touring our warehouse and learning about the youth programs, meal sites, and food pantries we serve, Jake decided this was where he wanted to make a difference.

Instead of gifts, Jake is asking friends and family to help fill that U-Haul with non-perishable food. And now, we're all a little curious to see just how big his birthday wish can become.

One thing is already certain: this 8-year-old is showing us that you don't have to be big to make a BIG difference. 💚
