Today concludes the feast of the Sacred Heart Novena. Join in prayer at 3pm as the Bishops consecrate our Nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Today the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, joined by parishes and faithful across the country. The act of consecration takes place as part of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Join the livestream this afternoon at 4pm ET / 3pm CT / 2pm MT / 1pm PT. Watch along, pray with us, and entrust our nation to the love of Christ's Sacred Heart.

Corpus Christi Sunday // The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

From our Pastor Fr. Billy Dodge: “This Sunday, June 7, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, a feast dedicated to the great gift of the Holy Eucharist. Whether you are reading this before or after our Eucharistic procession, Corpus Christi invites us to renew our faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ, who remains with us in the Blessed Sacrament. Thank you to all who participated. Whether you carried the canopy, sang hymns, prepared the outdoor altar, or simply walked and prayed, you helped make visible our parish's love for the Eucharistic Lord. Your presence was a beautiful witness to the faith that unites us as disciples of Jesus Christ.”

We also want to extend our great gratitude to the Women’s Club who made our brunch celebration possible and so special after the procession. What a beautiful day!

Today is the first day of the Sacred Heart Novena for Our Nation 🇺🇸

From the desk of Fr. Billy Dodge:
"As our nation approaches the 250th anniversary of its founding, the bishops of the United States are consecrating our country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. There is a novena of prayers from June 3 - June 11, culminating in the consecration on June 12. This act of consecration reminds us that the Heart of Christ is the source of all love, mercy, healing, and hope. At a time when our nation faces many challenges and divisions, we entrust ourselves anew to the Heart that was pierced for our salvation.

Bishop Battersby has asked the faithful of our diocese to join in this effort by praying a Sacred Heart prayer and participating in a novena leading up to the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart. I encourage every parishioner and family to take part.

An update on our parish parking lot and note from our Pastor, Fr. Billy Dodge:

“Blessed Sacrament Parish is beginning several major improvement projects on the school building this summer, including a new roof, new windows, and an updated HVAC system. These are significant investments in the future of Catholic elementary education and will help ensure that our facilities continue serving generations to come.

Because of the construction, portions of the parking lot will be fenced off and unavailable during much of the summer. Parking may at times be more limited than usual. Therefore, I would ask those who are able-bodied and able to walk a greater distance to consider parking a block or two away from the church when attending Mass or parish events. Doing so will help preserve the closest parking spaces for parishioners with mobility needs, health concerns, or young families.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and support during this time of improvement and renewal. Please keep all of the construction workers, parish staff, and volunteers in your prayers throughout the summer months.”

Last Sunday was an incredibly special day for our second grade students and their families! Congratulations to our First Communicants who received their First Holy Communion on Sunday, April 26.
