🌱 STUDY IN THE PARABLES | WEEK 2 🌱

What a powerful night of Bible Study at The Mount!

Last week, our Senior Pastor, Dr. Lonnie E. Anderson Jr., launched our Study in the Parables series with an overview of Jesus' parables. Last night, Staff Pastor Alfonso Carter M.T.S. continued the journey with an excellent lesson on The Parable of the Sower from the Gospel of Mark.

Pastor Carter challenged us to examine the condition of our hearts. The same seed—the Word of God—can produce different results depending on the soil where it lands. We looked at the four types of soil: the hard path, rocky ground, thorny ground, and good soil. The lesson reminded us that God generously sows His Word, but we must prepare our hearts to receive it, allow it to take root, and produce fruit.

One encouraging reminder from the study was that the condition of the soil can change! Hard ground can be plowed, rocks can be removed, and thorns can be cleared. Through prayer, perseverance, and Christian community, we can continue growing deeper in our faith.

The question for all of us is: What kind of soil is my heart right now? 🌱❤️

We’re just getting started! Join us as we continue our Study in the Parables and discover what Jesus is teaching us about our hearts, our faith, and our walk with Him.
