Let’s read Psalm 3 together 🙏

David knew man’s glory and he still said this 👆😱

05/28/2026

David didn’t have a strategy. He didn’t have a backup plan. He had enemies on every side and a son who wanted him dead.

So he did the only thing left to do.

He cried out. Loudly. Not embarrassed if anyone heard him. Just desperate and honest before his God.

And God answered him from His holy mountain.
That’s the thing about prayer — it doesn’t require you to have it together. It just requires you to show up. David showed up broken, and God showed up faithful.

“I cried to the LORD, and He answered me.” — Psalm 3:4 🙏

Be encouraged 👉 God is still on His throne 🙌

David fled Jerusalem barefoot. Weeping. His own son had stolen his throne, his city, and his reputation.

By all accounts, it was over.

But David slept that night. Peacefully. Not because the danger was gone — the enemies were still there — but because he knew something they didn’t: the LORD was a shield around him.

God didn’t remove David’s trial. He covered him through it.
Whatever you’re facing today, that same God is your shield. 🛡️

ou don’t build a foxhole for luxury. You build it to survive.

David wrote Psalm 3 from the Mount of Olives — barefoot, weeping, fleeing his own son. And yet he slept. Peacefully. Because he had dug his foxhole before the battle came.

This Sunday we asked: what does a Gospel foxhole look like? Psalm 3 gives us 7 answers — God as our protector, encourager, answer, rest, confidence, hope for victory, and Messiah.

If you’re in a hard season right now, this one’s for you. Catch the message at the link in bio. 🙏

🇺🇸 Freedom has never been free.

Someone paid for it. They left. Said goodbye to people they loved. Some never came back.

Today we stop and remember that.

But not just because it’s a holiday. We mean the actual people. The ones with names and families and futures they gave up so ours could continue.

That kind of love isn’t lost on us.

Jesus said it plainly: Greater love has no one than this — to lay down one’s life for his friends. // John 15:13

We know what that costs. And we know what it means to be the ones who get to live because of it.

So today we’re grateful. For the fallen. For the families who carry the weight of that loss every single day. For the ones still serving right now.

We don’t take any of it for granted.

Most people treat money like it’s theirs to protect.

But Jesus said where your treasure goes, your heart follows.
So the real question isn’t what you’re spending.

It’s what you’re building toward.

What does your wallet say you actually believe?

There’s a difference between someone who benefits from something and someone who’s invested in it.

One shows up when it’s convenient.
The other shows up when it costs them.

Which one are you?
