I've been a little slow on posting the information about our Hands On Mission Project bucket and virtual collections. I've been told there is more funding to arrive for Zimbabwe. Operations & Administrative Coordinator

Bearden United Methodist Church seeks a qualified candidate to: offer administrative & front office support, provide communication pieces to the congregation & community, manage membership / visitor / homebound records, oversee facility use & vendor coordination, and work alongside staff and trustees to maintain a list of projects & schedule approved work on such projects.

We just finished our Spring Lay Servant Training Classes and my phone starts ringing with people who want to take the Basic Class.
The Tennessee District will offer the Basic Lay Servant Class on June 13, 2026 from 9:00 am till 1:30 pm. THIS CLASS WILL BE BY ZOOM.

HANDS ON MISSION PROJECT 2026

FOOD BUCKET LIST for Liberia

Pack in a NEW 5-gallon bucket with lid.
2 bags sugar (4 - 5 lb.)
2 bags of rice (2 lb.) or 1 bag (4lbs)
1 bag dried beans (2 lb.)
1 oatmeal (18 oz. or less)
1 cooking oil (48 oz. or less)
2026 Hands on Mission Project for Liberia
$5 Shipping Fee for Food Buckets for Liberia

In addition to the FOOD BUCKET we invite you and your church to sponsor Virtual Kits for Zimbabwe. $5 donation for a Virtual Zimbabwe Kit (food, school, health supplies) materials will be purchased in Zimbabwe and assembled for children at Ishe Anesu. Items will be purchased at wholesale prices to maximize our support for Ishe Anesu for 2026.

Please provide 1 check made out to Tn Valley District with specifics noted in the memo line: $ Liberia shipping and $ Zimbabwe. Buckets for Liberia and donations for Zimbabwe will be collected on Wednesday, May 6 from 9am - 4pm at Cokesbury UMC 9919 Kingston Pike.
