The funeral for Rev. Bob Bean will be held at Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 12.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am - 12:00pm
The service will take place at 12:00 noon.
Burial will be a private graveside service.

FYI - For anyone planning to join us for the Magnolia Ave. Ministry tour, please keep in mind Monday is going to be a warm day and most of the building is not air conditioned and not equipped for those who may have trouble with stairs. Dress comfortably and always wear comfy shoes.

TN Valley District Conference will be held on Sunday, Aug. 16th at 2:00pm. We will be meeting at First Knox UMC, 3316 Kingston Pike, in the Sanctuary.

Nominations are now being accepted for At-Large Members to the 2027 Annual Conference, to be held at Lake Junaluska, NC from Sunday, June 6 through Wednesday, June 9, 2027

As nominations are submitted, we encourage you to remember the diversity of our conference and churches by considering multicultural members, youth, and young adults. Their voices, gifts and leadership are vital to the life and ministry of The United Methodist Church.

The Book of Discipline requires each Annual Conference to have equal numbers of lay and clergy members. Due to the number of retired clergy and clergy serving in extension ministry, it is necessary for each district to elect additional lay members to equalize the membership of the Annual Conference. AT LARGE Lay Members serve in addition to the local church lay members who are elected by their individual churches to serve and those who are Standing Rule Members. At-Large members will be elected during our TN Valley District Conference which will be held on, August 16th beginning at 2:00pm at First UMC Knoxville, 3316 Kingston Pike.

If you are interested in serving as an At-Large Member to Annual Conference 2027. Please contact the District Office at [email protected] or call 865-470-7005. Nominations should be received by the District Office no later than Aug. 10th.
