Due to the unexpected death of Director of Cokesbury Kids, Diane Baylor, our start dates for Wednesday evening classes for Adults and Cokesbury Kids have been postponed.

Fall Marriage Connection and Wednesday Evening Moms will begin on Wednesday, September 23.

Cokesbury Kids will begin after Knox County's Fall Break, on Wednesday, October 14.

With a heavy heart, we inform you that Diane Baylor, Director of Cokesbury Kids, died suddenly on Thursday. We will gather with Diane's family to celebrate her life and the enormous impact she had on our community on Thursday, September 10. The visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm, followed by a worship service at 6:00—all on the North Campus.

Programming note: Recovery at Cokesbury will still have groups on Thursday night, beginning at 7:40 pm, but all other Recovery programming is canceled this week.

This class is designed to help you and your partner feel safe, secure, and connected—helping you understand the underlying reasons you get into struggles over and over, express your needs and longings, and engage in conversations that keep your love alive and secure. While the Fall Marriage Connection is specifically designed for couples with teenagers, and all married couples are invited to attend. Wednesday nights are all about games, worship, and small groups—a chance for students to connect and grow in courage, compassion, and curiosity. The Beside Ministry for Women is a sacred space for women to walk through the unique experience of losing their husbands. Therapeutic techniques, personal stories, and reflections are brought together to offer meaning and honor to this significant life event. Beside groups are a safe place to think, feel, and reflect with other women who share this experience.

The Beside I group is designed for women who are newly experiencing grief or who are at the beginning stages of wanting to understand more about grief. Whether a loss has happened recently or years ago, there is a place for you here. Beside I is a starting place to learn the “language of grief” and ways that the body, mind, and heart can respond to this significant life experience.
