Sometimes the burdens feel so heavy that they become all we can see. The grief. The worry. The anxiety. The mortgage/rent. The car payment. The kids/spouse. The things we need to buy, but can’t afford. The health problems. The prayers we think are unanswered. The things we’re carrying that nobody else knows about — except for the King himself👌

But even in the middle of the hard seasons, God is still good, and His blessings are still there. Everything doesn’t always happen right when we want it to — but when HE wants it to.

Don’t let what’s weighing on you today make you forget what God has already brought you through, or what He’s given you. Look around. There is still something to thank Him for, something to praise Him for, and evidence that He has never stopped being faithful. If nothing else thank Him for allowing you to wake up this morning, and the breath you’re breathing while reading this post.

The burden may be heavy, but the blessings are still bigger. 🙌 Sometimes we’re too busy looking at the burden that the blessing or miracle walks right by us.

Take a moment tonight to stop looking only at what’s going wrong and thank God for what’s still going right. Sometimes changing what we focus on changes everything. We’re all guilty of it, we just need to pivot the focus just a little.

There are bills to pay, people to care for, decisions to make, things that didn’t go as planned, and a hundred thoughts competing for our attention — But for a little while tomorrow, we get to set all of that down and turn our attention back to the One who has carried us through it all. 🤍 Come worship. The other day, our page shared a belated birthday post honoring our late, longtime member, Ronald “Ronnie” Ellis. 🤍

This was an idea from myself, as RHC’s social media coordinator, and the post was planned with permission and approval from Ronnie’s wife, Faye, who has also been a longtime member of Pastor Becky’s congregation.

This was a new idea for me and I would NEVER want any of the church family to feel left out, so I would love to know… when is YOUR birthday? 🎂🎉

If you are a member of Redemption Harvest Church and would like your birthday celebrated on our page, I would be honored to do so! If you know a member who is not on Facebook, but you can directly contact them and have them get in touch with Pastor or Etta, that is okay as well. All of Redemption Harvest’s members are greatly and deeply appreciated, loved, and honored — truly. 💛

I would also love to honor the birthdays of late RHC members. If you are a family member of a late member of Redemption Harvest Church and would like us to remember and celebrate them on their birthday, please let us know. 🤍🕊️
