Things may be what you would like them to be, but take some time on this day to reflect on all the Lord has done. God has been good, and has blessed you. Again, I was reading an article about the election, and the writer made such a great point I just had to share with folks:
"As we enter the homestretch of the 2024 election, Harris is trying to pull off the greatest magic trick in the history of American politics. She is attempting to make the Biden-Harris administration disappear. She wants to convince voters that she and President Biden had nothing to do with the last three-and-a-half years.

More than that, Harris seemingly wants to pretend that Trump is somehow the incumbent president, and that she is the upstart “change” candidate fighting against the failed policies of the last three-and-a-half years."

This truly shows just how insincere she and the Democrats are. They're trying to pretend that they have not been in power for the last 3 and a half years, that their policies are not the cause of the mess we have not only in America, but also around the world.
Nothing that is happening today has anything to do with Donald Trump, and they know that. So, the only thing they can do is demonize and disparage the man.
The only people who are voting for her are Trump haters, true progressives who want the destruction of America, and those who judge everything according to skin color and sexual orientation.
These people are so fake that they can't just own up to what they have done, say our policies were wrong and actually have a real plan to make things better, but instead like this article says, they are attempting to trick everyone into believing that they have not been in power for the last 3 and a half years.
No matter what she says or does the fact remains she was a part of the administration that has made a shambles of our country.
Sorry Kamala, you might be able to run but you'll never be able to hide.

I was going about my day and the thought occurred to me how the Left tries to paint those of us on the Right as "extreme", and those of us on the Right point out how "radical" the Left is, when truthfully both sides are exactly as described.
If we all will be honest, remove the persons who are representing each side and look at what each side truly stands for, line these things up with our own values, then this is what should determine what side we support.
If you feel that open borders are cool, letting in millions of people we don't have any idea of what their intentions are, knowing many of them are criminals, and understanding the pressure they put on resources that should be going to people who live here, then Kamala Harris is your person.
If you agree with men calling themselves women and women calling themselves men, being forced to address a person by some absurd preferred pronoun, allowing and advocating for children to be able choose to have life altering medical procedures without parents involved, and even criminalize parents who don't agree with their children, then Kamala Harris is your person. I don't have the time or the space to list all the things the radical Left want to push upon us, but, again understanding that the person who we put into office is more than someone we should "like", it should be someone who aligns with our own values, whose policies support and strengthen those values.
I just so happen to disagree not with the person who represents the Left, but the ideology and policies the Left advocate and support.
I support strong borders and yes, and radical solution to the more than 11 million illegal aliens now in our country. These people are getting help and access to resources poor Americans can't get. How right is it that people who have never put an ounce of sweat into anything in this country, should be able to come over here and Left leaning cities like New York and Chicago who can't find money to help their own people who live in poverty all of a sudden find 10's of millions of dollars to give out to illegals? By their very actions through the implementation of their policies the Left proves their America last ideology. Their way forward is into a Socialist system they control, where we all will find ourselves worse off than we ever thought possible.
In the battle of the two extremes, I choose an America first position that looks to bring us back to some semblance of normality.
Notice Kamala's tagline: "We're Not Going Back!"
People we need to go back, back to common sense, back to rational thought, back to morality, honesty and truth.
Looking at the Left's way "forward", I most definitely want to go back.

There are many reasons why no one should ever support Liberal ideology, but this one for me tops them all.
While calling themselves advocates for female equality, and women's rights, and pushing against the patriarchy, these people allow biological MEN who are not, and cannot be women to participate in all kinds of female events from sports to beauty pageants and completely dominate actual women.
And to prove to you that liberalism is a mental illness, liberal WOMEN go along with this nonsense.
So let me get this straight: as a liberal standing up for one principle, I must lose my mind and any rational thought and also support something that completely destroys the principle I was standing up for in the first place, but convince myself it's really all the same thing.

So, Colorado has a violent gang from Venezuela called Tren de Araguas taking over apartment buildings and forcing people to pay rent to them instead of their landlords, but Harris/Walz supporters don't have a problem with unsecured borders. Now we have criminals trying to take over.

But, this is the same thing that happened with another democratic administration under a president named Jimmy Carter. He began that same open border policy and Cuba opened up their prisons, released their criminals to come here, and soon Miami became co***ne central with murder, robbery and drug addiction running rampant. Then it spread throughout America.

Liberal policies are a disaster for all of us. And if you really believe Harris has any real solutions for the border, I have some prime ocean front property in Oklahoma to sell you. She's had 3 and a half years to do something, but instead she has avoided the subject like the plague.

She's so insincere it's pitiful. She's a liar and a hypocrite. And she doesn't care.

I saw this on someone else's post and just had to borrow it. How great it was to be a kid back then!

Your clothes came from Kmart and they stayed on layaway until school started. Eating out at a restaurant was a thing every now & then!! Fast food was leftovers at home. Eating popsicles was a treat on a hot day. We had fake cigs for candy and you only needed $1 or less. School was mandatory. You took your school clothes off as soon as you got home and put on your play clothes. If no one was home after school, you went to the neighbors. Nobody paid for daycare because we had a key to the house to get in when we got home.

We ate dinner at the table. Our house phone wasn't always being used. We played Cops and Robbers, 1-2-3 Not It, Red Light Green Light, Hide & Seek, Truth or Dare, Tag, Kickball, Dodgeball & we rode bikes. Girls and Boys played in the street. We came home when the street lights came on.

Children were seen & not heard. Staying in the house was a punishment and the only thing we knew about being "bored", "You better find something to do before I find it for you!" We ate what Mom made for dinner or we ate nothing at all. There was no bottled water; we drank from the tap or the water hose!

Phone numbers and address’s were either memorized or written on a folded piece of paper which was kept with you at all times!
What were Cell phones? We watched cartoons on Saturday mornings and rode our bikes for hours. We ran around in the streets until dark and came in before the street lights came on.

We were AFRAID OF NOTHING.
We watched our mouths around our Elders. If we acted up we got beat with a wooden paddle, switch or belt!

These were the good old days.
Kids today will never know how it feels to be a real kid, they will never understand my childhood!!!

In case you're still wondering what the Left means when they say Trump is a danger to democracy, I can tell you.

As I read this article in the left leaning publication called Salon, it dawned on me what they are afraid of and what "they" mean by the term democracy. They mean all the "big government" bureaucracies that are chocking the life out of America, and they are afraid Trump will dismantle them once he is in office.

So, when they are all over the media hyping up the people over Trump being a threat to democracy, they really mean he is a threat to their power and control. With this understanding, every living American in the world should back this particular threat because this bureaucratic deep state needs to be dismantled. Most of the heads of this deep state are unelected officials that the American people have no say-so over. They play by their own rules and do what they want. Hardly ever do any of them get punished for any wrong they commit.

Don't let the left scare you about Trump because all he wants to do is bring back true freedom and application of the rule of law. We should want a nation where people are not arrested by the FBI in front of their families like criminals for peaceful protesting at an abortion clinic, but gangs of dangerous people are allowed to take over sections of cities, burn down buildings and beat up people in the name of police violence. Tell me how that is right? That's not democracy. And if Donald Trump is a threat to that, I back him 100%!

Thoughts for the thinking person: a projectionist is a person who projects what he/she is onto others in an attempt to: 1. Demonize others and 2. Take the focus off themselves. This is who the left are: Projectionists. They're always projecting hate. They love to say how much those of us on the Right hate people, how intolerant we are and on, and on. If you notice, those on the right rarely use this tone, but those on the left use it all the time because they are the real haters. They have the worst attitudes and spirits ever! They are the ones who attack people. They are the ones who have violent protests. They are the ones who burn buildings and destroy property. They are the ones who hate.
