32 years of faithful service, intentional discipling, and relentless prayer. Today, we had the privilege of praying over John and Sally Ritter as they prepare for their next adventure in Palmer, Alaska! 🏔️❤️

It’s hard to put into words what the Ritters mean to United Church—they are truly woven into the very fabric of our family.

For over three decades, John has served as an Elder, taught Sunday school, led small groups, served at UKids Camp, and faithfully prayed with hundreds who have walked through our doors.

Sally served as our UKids Director for 10 years, co-led Women’s Ministry, and spent 32 years praying over, teaching, and mentoring generations of children, teens, and women in our community. Together, they raised their three boys here and have left an indelible mark on our church family.

While we will miss them dearly, we celebrate with them as they move to Alaska to be near their son, daughter-in-law, and four granddaughters! 👧👧👧👧

John and Sally—thank you for pouring your lives into United Church. We love you, we will miss you, and we pray God’s richest blessings over this next season in Alaska!

Romans 7 says sin “seizes the opportunity” and deceives us. It starts small, hides well, and grows strong. The good news: in Christ, we’re not stuck. We’re invited into the light, where grace is greater than our secret battles.

Romans 7 reminds us: God’s law is holy, righteous, and good—it reveals what’s really in our hearts. But it can’t save us; only Christ can. In Him, we’re freed from chasing every new “rule” and invited to walk in the new life of the Spirit.
