Gibsontown Ministries Gibsontown Ministries is an outreach ministry within the heart of the Gibsontown Community in Kingsport, TN.

Our purpose is to deliver Christ-centered assistance to equip people to thrive in their spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental lives. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28 KJV

Our Operational Activities include:

* Diapers and Devotions: Attend our weekly Bible studies & devotions! We give away packages of diapers to those attendee

s who need them. Free childcare provided.
* Clothes Closet: Gently used children's clothing available for purchase at a very reduced and affordable price.
* Food Pantry: On occasion we receive donations of food to share with the community.
* Life Skills Classes: Monthly sessions on topics such as Child Care, Sewing, Cooking, Couponing, Computer Skills, Interviewing for a Job, Dress for Success, Health Care Topics, Fitness, Home Repairs, Gardening, Canning/Preserving/Freezing, etc...
* Computer Training Sessions/GED: Opportunities to use computers and printers for educational and job opportunities.
* Arts & Crafts Classes: Special classes encouraging attendees to express their feelings through the arts.
* Special Events: Held throughout the year, these events include Easter Sunday Worship Service and Easter Egg Hunt, the Hallelujah Hoedown in the Fall, and a Community Thanksgiving/Christmas Dinner.
* Other: Back-To-School Backpacks,

Our thoughts and prayers are with Brad Parlier’s loved ones. We fondly remember his faithful attendance at our Sunday evening Freeway services for several years until recently when his health prevented him from coming. He was loved and will be greatly missed!!

What an incredible honor for Freeway Ministries!

This month, John Stroup had the privilege of traveling to the White House compound by special invitation to meet with Sara Carter, Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, along with a small group of other faith-based recovery leaders.

Together, they discussed how the United States can better support organizations like ours in making a real impact in the fight against addiction. This was just one of many meetings to come, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have a seat at the table.

Above all, we want to be careful to give God all the glory for what He is doing through this ministry.
