We'd like to spotlight a family shining the Light of Jesus in Lima, Peru. Our missions offering from The Lighthouse Tour VBS will be going to Pastor Jordan Casas and his family. After many setbacks and uprooting their family to move to Peru, here's what he says about their work, "Our focus is to continue with the great comission. We cannot detach ourselves from the call. Reaching the lost is and will always be our priority. We are praying together with other brothers to reach and help more vulnerable communities. Our hearts burn when talking and thinking about this project."

Their ministry includes supporting local pastors, hosting evangelism events in the city, and meeting the physical needs of vulnerable communities.

Our goal is to send $1,000 to Pastor Jordan to provide for his family as they continue their work in Peru. Because of his status as a missionary, his family is prohibited by law from holding a private job, making basic provisions for their family difficult. It's our prayer that we can participate in God's work in Peru by supporting this family.

As a little extra incentive, if our goal is reached, the kids will be publicly humiliating our Minister of Students at our VBS Family Day (Sunday, June 28) by building an ice cream sundae on his shiny bald head.

Make Plans for Vacation Bible School!

The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. The Lighthouse Tour will take kids on a journey through Scripture to witness the Light of Jesus through Creation, the Tabernacle, the Word of God, and through Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. Each night, they will see how the darkness has tried to get rid of the Light, but the Light cannot be overcome. It is our prayer that kids will learn this crucial Truth and experience the inextinguishable Light of Jesus as they play, worship, and learn at VBS this year.
