Kapa'a Missionary Church

Kapa'a Missionary Church A church ohana (family) on the East side of Kauai committed to "Loving God, Living Aloha" John 15:16 Go and bear fruit” (Loving God and Living Aloha)

OUR PURPOSE
Kapa’a Missionary Church is focused on three areas of commitment in Loving God and Living Aloha found within John 15 that expresses our purpose beautifully. COMMITMENT TO CHRIST
To Love, Worship, and Praise God is our prime commitment and call from Jesus. John 15:1-11: “Abide in Me” (Loving God)

COMMITMENT TO THE BODY OF CHRIST
To love and care for each other in the body of Christ is our second commitment and call from Jesus. What flows out of the first priority is the response to pass it on to those around us as a gratitude response! John 15:12 “Love one another” (Living Aloha)

COMMITMENT TO THE MISSION OF CHRIST
To Love, and care for each other in the community and world is our third commitment and call from Jesus. What flows out of the first and second priority is the response to pass it on to those around us as a gratitude response for what Jesus did for us!

New Sermon Series: Jesus Said What?!

We love the words of Jesus when He says, “Come to me… and I will give you rest.” We love hearing about grace, mercy, forgiveness, and heaven.

But then Jesus says things like: “Love your enemies.” “Deny yourself.” “Forgive… again.” “Do not worry.”

And suddenly we’re thinking, “Jesus… you serious?”
This series will remind the church that following Jesus isn't about choosing the teachings we like. If Jesus is Lord, then even His hardest words deserve our obedience.

Jesus doesn't measure our love by how we treat people who love us. Sometimes the greatest evidence of Jesus in us is how we treat people who don't.

Life is full of battles, but not every battle deserves your energy. Sometimes we wear ourselves out fighting the wrong things while neglecting the fight that matters most: the fight to remain faithful to Jesus.

Join us at Kapa‘a Missionary Church for our new two-part sermon series, “Stay in the Fight.” this Sunday for part one: "Fight the Right Fight"

Not every fight is your fight. We’ll look at what Scripture teaches us about recognizing the real enemy, guarding what matters, and staying faithful in the battle God has actually called us to fight.

KMC Church Family,

Due to the tropical storm moving through our area and out of an abundance of caution, we are canceling our worship service today.

While gathering together as a church family is important, your safety is more important than trying to make it to church during potentially dangerous conditions. There is no reason for anyone to take unnecessary risks traveling in heavy rain, strong winds, flooding, or hazardous road conditions. We would much rather everyone stay home, stay safe, and be wise than be sorry.

Please use this time to remain indoors, pray for our island and our community, and check on family, friends, and neighbors when it is safe to do so.

Remember, the Church is not the building, we are the Church wherever we are. God is just as present with you in your home as He is when we gather together on Sunday morning.

Stay safe, KMC ʻOhana. We love you, we are praying for you, and we look forward to worshiping together again soon.

DON'T QUIT: When the Heart Grows
Weary

Last week we discovered that God never intended us to carry life's burdens alone. But what happens when you've shared the load and your heart is still exhausted? In Part 2 of our DON'T QUIT series, we'll see that even Moses reached a point of deep discouragement—and we'll discover that God meets us in our weakest moments with His presence, His people, and His strength. If you've been faithfully pressing on but feel emotionally or spiritually drained, this message is one you won't want to miss.

Join us this Sunday, August 2, at 9:00 AM for Part 2: "When the Heart Grows Weary". Come be reminded that your weariness is not the end of your story-and whatever you're facing, DON'T QUIT!

Have you ever felt like you were carrying more than you could handle? Life’s responsibilities, pressures, and problems can leave us exhausted and wondering how much longer we can keep going.

This past Sunday, we began a new three-part sermon series titled “Don’t Quit! Our first message, “The Weight We Were Never Meant to Carry,” will look at Moses and the powerful truth that God never intended us to carry every burden alone. Sometimes the answer isn’t working harder—it’s learning to trust God, receive help, and put down what was never ours to carry.

Failure is something we all have in common. We all have regrets, bad decisions, and moments we'd love to take back. Too often, those failures convince us that God is finished with us.
But Peter's story reminds us that failure doesn't have to be the final chapter. After denying Jesus three times, Peter experienced the incredible grace and restoration of Christ. In this message, we'll discover that our greatest failures don't have to define our future because Jesus specializes in restoring broken people and giving them a renewed purpose

Failure is something we all have in common. We all have regrets, ba...

Join us at Kapa'a Missionary Church on Sunday, July 5th at 9:00 AM for a powerful and timely message titled, "Racism: A Sin Against God's Heart."

Racism continues to make headlines, divide communities, and fuel strong emotions. But what does God have to say about it? In a culture filled with opinions, we will turn to God's Word for answers.

Through James 2:1-9, we will examine how favoritism, prejudice, and discrimination contradict the heart of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We'll discover that every person is created in the image of God and that followers of Jesus are called to love their neighbors without partiality.

This message is not about politics. It's about biblical truth. It's about seeing people the way God sees people and allowing His love to transform our hearts.

Come join us as we explore this important topic and learn how the church can shine as a light of unity, grace, and truth in a divided world.

Sunday, July 5th at 9:00 AM Kapa'a Missionary Church Everyone is welcome.

What an awesome Day 1 of VBS at Kapaʻa Missionary Church! 🎉

The church was filled with energy, laughter, worship, and kids learning about Jesus. It was such a blessing to see so many smiling faces having fun, making new friends, and growing in their faith.
