We celebrate Mary's birth not simply because she is Mary, but because her birth prepared the way for the birth of Jesus. In honoring her Nativity, we thank God for the woman whose "yes" helped bring salvation to the world.

Let this feast day remind us that God works through ordinary people. May we all welcome God's will with open hearts and joyful confidence!

Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

Today we give thanks for the dignity of work and for all those whose daily efforts help support their families, serve their communities, and build up society. As we enjoy this day of rest, let us thank God for the gifts of labor, vocation, and the opportunity to serve others with our talents.

Today's Gospel reminds us that Jesus calls us to something that can be difficult: reconciliation. Instead of holding onto hurt or speaking about others behind their backs, He invites us to approach one another with truth, humility, and love.

And He promises that whenever we gather in His name, He is with us. 🙏💙"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20)

Congratulations to our seminarians new to the Discipleship and Configuration Stage at The Pontifical College Josephinum. Tonight, they received their pontifical cassocks during Evening Prayer. In keeping with the centuries-old tradition of pontifical seminaries, these distinctive cassocks are a visible reminder of the Josephinum’s history and its special relationship with the Holy See. 🙏🏼

Today is the feast of St. Augustine of Hippo, son of St. Monica who made a commitment to spend the remainder of his life as a “servant of God” upon converting to the Catholic faith. 🙏

“To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement,” was one of his many notable quotes.
