We all have someone we think God can't reach. The person who hurt us. The guy who took our job. You don't have to like them. You do have to believe the grace that pulled you out can pull them out too.

We tend to think we need to feel connected before we start serving. Pastor Caleb says it runs the other way. You find your people by serving next to them.

When you watch something long enough, you start to feel like it's yours. The church was built for everyone to be on the team. Fighting for each other, loving each other, backing each other up.

He prunes the comfort too.

On The Walk Podcast this week, Pastor Raul talked about pruning. Most of us hear that word and think God only wants to cut the sin out of our lives. He cuts out comfort too.

"Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit." John 15:2 ESV

It may get harder first.

Pastor Luke was honest on Sunday. This world is hard, and it will let us down. Following Jesus doesn't take the hard away.

But we have a mighty King who loves His people, fights for them, and finishes what He starts. If we expect it all fixed this side of heaven, we'll live let down. Hold on. He will make all things right.

"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6 ESV
