City Church JTX A relaxed, come-as-you-are church in Joshua, TX. Real people. Real faith. No hype. Sundays @ 11am. Doubters welcome. Real life. We meet Sundays at 11am.

City Church – Joshua, TX

We’re a small, relaxed church in the heart of Joshua. Whether you’ve gone to church your whole life or you’re just checking it out, you’ll fit right in. Service lasts about an hour. It’s quiet, casual, and simple—nothing fancy. Music is acoustic. The teaching is straight from the Bible, with a focus on real-life stuff you can actually use. City Church isn’t perfect—and we’re not trying to be. We’re just people learning to follow Jesus together. Kids K–5 have their own space

Babies, toddlers, and teens are welcome in the main room

If your baby cries, no worries—we’re glad they’re here

We usually have a potluck on the 2nd Sunday of each month and communion on the 4th. Small group Bible studies are starting soon to help you grow and connect more during the week. We also run a food pantry and support local schools with backpacks and supplies. Because we believe church should help the neighborhood—not just meet in it. City Church is one of Joshua’s best-kept secrets. You’ll find us at the end of a quiet street, in a red brick building with a white steeple. It feels like church… in a good way. Come as you are. Doubts welcome. No perfect people allowed. We’re a church for people who don’t like church.

Why You Still Feel Controlled After Cutting People Off

Blocking someone is easy, but stopping the internal arguments is hard. You can move away or cut ties, yet still let them dictate your mood and identity. Healing isn't just about physical distance; it's about reclaiming your mental space. Have you ever felt this emotional weight?

The Hardest Question to Ask About Your Relationships

It is easy to focus on where others go wrong, but we all have blind spots. Instead of asking God to change them, try asking what needs to change in you. Sometimes the most difficult path leads to the most healing. Have you ever considered that you might be the problem?

Why We Need To Stop Labeling Every Difficult Person

We have started treating everyone who disagrees with us as dangerous or toxic. But someone can make your life difficult without needing to be cut off entirely. Especially when you have to face them at work or family gatherings, holding onto that internal conflict only hurts you. Does this resonate with you?

That Dreaded Phone Call From Someone Who Ruins Everything

We all know that feeling: a name pops up on your screen and your mood instantly tanks. You haven't even answered yet, but they've already managed to ruin your day. Have you ever felt that sinking feeling when you see their name pop up?

It's never too late to create a memorial for life's real moments. You don't need to understand or explain them; you just know God showed up. Remember His faithfulness, even when the road ahead is long.

HIRING: HELP UP FIND OUR NEXT KIDS MINISTRY LEADER!

Help us build a place kids love and can't wait to come back to!

We're hiring for a PART-TIME leadership position working with kids, especially older elementary students.

We're looking for someone who knows how to create memorable experiences where three things happen:

1. Kids have FUN.
2. Kids learn ONE thing about the Bible.
3. Kids leave knowing there's another adult, besides Mom or Dad, who knows their name and is genuinely glad they came.

But we're looking for more than someone who's great with kids.

We want someone with an ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET. Someone who's creative, resourceful, and knows how to build something great without needing a big budget.

Someone who can take an idea and run with it, solve problems, recruit and lead volunteers, and make things happen.

And just as importantly, someone who can WORK AND PLAY WELL WITH OTHER ADULTS.

This is a team environment. We're looking for someone who can lead people, collaborate with others, and help build a healthy, positive culture.

Experience serving on a church leadership team is a plus, but it's not required.

Experience creating environments where kids thrive, build relationships, and can't wait to come back? THAT'S ESSENTIAL.

We're not looking for someone to simply fill a position.

We're looking for a builder, a leader, and someone who genuinely loves helping kids discover that church can be one of their favorite places to be.

If that sounds like you, or someone you know, we'd love to have a conversation.

You don't need a special place to find God's attention. In Jesus, God has already come to us. Even on your hardest nights, remember that rock bottom can be holy ground when you realize that's where God is found.

We all face seasons where life unravels. Plans fall apart, and the future feels uncertain. The real struggle often isn't what happens, but the agonizing not knowing.

10/21/2026

You can see the doctor's report, the bank account, or the door that closed, but you can't see everything. Not seeing God at work doesn't mean God isn't working. Rock bottom can be holy ground; that's where God is often found.
