For the first time in 42 years, the doors of a new temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in North Texas are opening to the public—and you’re invited to step inside.

Join us for free public tours from Thursday, November 5, through Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, excluding Sundays.

Come and see. No reservations are needed. All are welcome.

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced an open house for the newly constructed Fort Worth Texas Temple. The free public tours will run from Thursday, November 5, 2026, through Saturday, November 21, 2026, except on Sundays.

The new temple is located at 1851 Greenridge Drive in Burleson. The open house provides an opportunity for the public to tour the temple’s beautiful interior and grounds and learn about the purpose of this sacred structure. The new Fort Worth Temple will serve church members in the greater Fort Worth region and surrounding area.

Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints differ from meetinghouses or chapels, where members gather for Sunday worship services. Each temple is considered a house of the Lord, where Jesus Christ’s teachings are reaffirmed through sacred ordinances that unite families eternally. In the temple, Church members learn more about the purpose of life and make covenants to follow Jesus Christ and serve others.

The dedication will take place on Sunday, January 10, 2027, and will be broadcast to congregations in the Fort Worth Temple district.

Now that the construction of the Fort Worth Texas Temple has been completed, our thoughts turn toward the spiritual foundation upon which the temple rests and the sacred ceremonies that will take place there.

Former President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Russell M. Nelson, taught:
“My dear brothers and sisters, these are the latter days. If you and I are to withstand the forthcoming perils and pressures, it is imperative that we each have a firm spiritual foundation built upon the rock of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
So I ask each of you, how firm is your foundation? And what reinforcements to your testimony and understanding of the gospel are needed?
The temple lies at the center of strengthening our faith and spiritual fortitude because the Savior and His doctrine are the very heart of the temple. Everything taught in the temple, through instruction and through the Spirit, increases our understanding of Jesus Christ.”

There’s something inspiring about seeing the American flag waving near the future Fort Worth Texas Temple in Burleson. 🇺🇸

A beautiful sight following July 4th weekend! 🇺🇸 The American flag is now flying at the site of the Fort Worth Texas Temple in Burleson.

With the temple grounds taking shape, the flag adds a beautiful and patriotic touch. It’s a reminder of the gratitude we feel for the freedoms we cherish and the opportunity to contribute to our communities rooted in faith, service and love for our neighbors.

The Fort Worth Texas Temple is nearing completion and the progress over the past few weeks has been exciting to see. Landscaping along Greenridge Drive and Hulen Street has now been installed, construction fencing has been moved back in several areas, and exterior work across the site appears substantially complete.

The additional parcel of land that housed the temporary Visitors’ Center has also been cleared and freshly hydro-seeded, while furniture deliveries for the adjacent stake center have arrived as well.

We look forward with anticipation to the coming day when the House of the Lord will officially open its doors.
